Richards To The Gooners Or united?

Very strange that the reliable, well researched story journalists from The Daily Mirror reported last week that Taggart was preparing a 20 million January bid for Micah Richards.

Hard to believe when firstly, united only have a budget of this amount for any entire season and they certainly need more than one player to add to their ageing squad.

Or perhaps Gary Chuckle Brother is finished and they want a top notch right back. Micah certainly is that.

I wonder however, why would Micah want to sign a long term contract with them when Taggart and many of his players are on their last legs. Also little Citeh have already beaten three different united sides this season. So it seems this is idle talk from the Mirror and has little substance.

The Mirror are saying today Micah Richards is now off to Arsenal! Really, perhaps they can explain now why he is not going to very Old Trafford...

You can always tell when we are doing well.
Wait for it, Barcelona bid 20 million for Elano, will follow.

Micah when younger, was an Arsenal fan. So possibly, if the Gunners in five years have 30 million we may trade. Having said that, Lee Dixon played more than 500 games for the Gooners and it was no secret that he was a fanatical City fan who would have loved to have played for us. He didn`t, and possibly Micah won't ever play for them.

The Mirror do know one thing and that is that City are on the up big style and they cannot cope with it. Heaven help us when we start winning trophies!

Meanwhile, every City player is now a target for other clubs, simply because they are quality young players. Shame Giggs and Scholes were not a bit younger as we can now easily afford to buy them, but unfortunately they are getting on a bit now, and Sven doesn`t like old stagers.

With united finding themselves in so much debt they could do with some serious cash so perhaps they will off load Rooney during the January transfer window.

Rooney to CITY is unlikely. There again Ricky Hatton and he are best mates, so you never know.

But back to the other Mirror comment: Micah to join united, no chance. To Arsenal possibly in a few years time.

Always like liked city, so good for you if he stays. But please come to Arsenal! Dont see Wenger doing it though
ArsenalRob
Please come to Liverpool! Once Carra retires, imagine Richards and Agger at the heart of Liverpool's defence!
Aamir
He won't go to the Gooners they don't sign English players !!!
alphieblues
City have a potentially world class player in their team, and you know it. The big clubs will come calling eventually, though I'm not sure Wenger will be willing to spend so much money. I would love that though, Micash has been very impressive so far this season.

"Lee Dixon played more than 500 games for the Gooners and it was no secret that he was a fanatical City fan who would have loved to have played for us. He didn`t, and possibly Micah won't ever play for them." Well if reports are true that he doesnt want to sign a contract because he wants to go to Arsenal, then i dont see you having a real chance of keeping him. Even less of a chance of you holding us to ransom over him if these reports are true.
gunnerkid107
Be a tough player to replace and how much money would be reasonable price?
col8
Gunnerkid107, there is no report of Richards refusing to sign a contract, there is a discussion regarding a release clause, but SGE says that this can be sorted. According to the mirror (if you can believe what they write) reports that he is ready to sign. Besides you have an abudance of very good defenders. I think you need a goalkeeper like we do, but richards to Arsenal will not happen for years sorry.
Buzz Lightyear
I see Micah has rubbished all these reports and is very close to signing a new contract WITHOUT RELEASE clauses. Anyone who buys that rubbish Daily Mirror that calls itself a newspaper cannot call themselves a true City fan
alphieblues
...and alphie he wants the armband.

I know we are singing the praises of Elano at the moment and his goals have been a delight to watch, but the entire team needs a mention. The fact that they have taken to this very easy on the eye football. The tireless work of Mpenza, numerous defensive clearances from corners. I just feel they have more time and space and are enjoying playing together. Corluka as Micah says he his calm, but besides that he never seems to panic. Garrido just gets on with the job. I bet Pearce wishes that last season he had this seasons Hamann. Petrov is getting better and Stevie Ireland against Boro was very unlucky to score. Not the best game we have played, but by Christmas we should gel.
Buzz Lightyear
Agree BUZZ... It is easy to pick out individual players for praise, football is a team game and when the team is playing well al the players should take the credit With a bit of luck the way we are playing there should be very few times this season when anyone has anything to criticise. If we are still in the top four by Christmas I can see more real quality players arriving in the transfer window.
alphieblues
This is not a moan, but if we are to maintain nose bleed heights, we do need to strengthen the squad with quality players. I would still be happy with a top ten at the end of the season, IF no additons are made, Alphieb we can sustain it until Christmas if we don't get any injuries to key players. Commentators keep having a go at Mpenza, but his work rate is beyond question. Even I cannot remember so many outstanding goals in the same season.
Buzz Lightyear
Mpenza plays a very similar role to Heskey who was getting the same sort of stick until they finally realised what an important part he plays with his hold up play and unselfish touches. No doubt when we keep winning on a regular basis those same knockers will relise what an important role Mpenza really does play.
alphieblues
Agreed Alphieb. Today in the Gossip at bbc.co.uk/football they report that SGE wants Crouch. and now we apparently want to sign Lehmann. I hope the papers once again are clutching at straws.
Buzz Lightyear
Don't worry BUZZ Sven won't sign Crouch or Defore he will give them the runaround once again and sign a couple of unknown gems (to the media that is) from the Continent.
alphieblues
Alphieb, Every time I watch City play, I still cannot get over the fact that we do have a decent manager and a decent set of players, that entertain. I know we are not going to win every game and you would think that other clubs would be wanting to buy those players that SGE bought, but so far it has been Johnson and Richards that the rumours have been about. I just love the fact that all the media guys who said City would struggle this season have done an about turn. In the words of someone who got us here in the first place Id love it just love it, if... well it is too early yet to think about such things. Start of the season we were quoted 3/1 for relegation, same firm now quotes 50/1 and 150/1 to win it, this is the best odds outside the so called big four.
Buzz Lightyear
he will not be leaving city for a few seasons at least as the buzz created by ericksonn and no one knows where he can take city. Besides City do not need the cash and he can achieve his England ambitions at city, Neville will not get a look in now. If I would be more worried about City snaring on of Arses or utd`s players than the other way round.
cockeril
I understand what you are saying, but do we want to pay over the odds for players, Red nose never lets a player go unless he is past his best. Wenger has been excellent at spotting talent. Sven appears to do the same. He knows now where he needs to strengthen. I am still looking forward to Christmas but evn more the January sales.
Buzz Lightyear
hohoo you guys are doin good sven will probs sign load of new players but most will be young suck my baws wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo]oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
