I notice nobody got a MOTM award for the Norwich game, not that anyone deserved it.

There was a lot of talk about Johnson having an operation on his groin and then I read yesterday that he had recovered, perhaps SGE did not want him to play for the U21s and aggrovate it. The poll is a good question, do we reply on Elano too much. I think Geovanni is not match fit and the alleged moaning by Bianchi about not being played, how can he play if he is injured. I think we all agree he has a lot of talent and will be marked closely by the oppositon, but with SGE only playing one up front then it is difficult to get a game. At present Mpenza has the chair and he works his socks off in attack and defense. I have only once seen Anelka when he played for us bother to go back and defend. Couple of puzzles, why does SGE go 442 in the Carling and which is best studs or blades?
Buzz Lightyear
I think Sven's reason for going 4-4-2 in the CC is to give TWO strikers a chance of a game something that I am sure he will use more often later in the season when we are going a top four spot.
alphieblues
But Alphie, surely you would stick to the same system to see if the players that do not get a regular game, can play well to that system? I am sure that Bianchi prefers to have a partner to play off, whereas Mpenza can play both systems.
Buzz Lightyear
How would you accomodate Elano in 442? Think you'll find SGE is tied to his system and playing around the guy - which fine with me. We do need a more potent striker up top - need to have a look at Bojinov before going back to the market.
Craig Cain
I think Summerbee (buzzer) is right, what bubble. Hamann was excellent today, held everybody together. Credit to Birmingham, but the two footed tackle on Elano should have been punished.
Buzz Lightyear
For me Joe Hart was MOTM today. I can see him playing for England in the next couple of years.

With SIX site journalists we have had only THREE reports in the last two weeks ...come on lads you can do better than that....
alphieblues
Agreed, alphie. Been doing my best and hanging on in there. Hope to be back on a more prolific track as soon as possible. These are fantastic times for our club.
Johnny Baguette
Agreed JB you would think it was still last season the effort some of the other so called journalists are putting in....c'mon ANDY, BOB, DANNY, STEVE AND GAVIN !!! ....
alphieblues
In fairness to the lads it's not always easy to "maintain your game" so to speak. Here's to us buzzing big time again as the squad digs deep!
Johnny Baguette
I am sure with Sven and Hans training them they should be ables to put in better performances ...lol...
