Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson, after watching Stephen Ireland score the only goal at the City of Manchester Stadium against Sunderland, plays down the youngster's antics after revealing his Superman underwear after scoring. 'Superman, Super Goal!' responded the Swede, as City maintain their 100% home record.

Agreed, I can't honestly believe the FA has chosen not to slap him with a 1 game ban just to say "keep your head on straight" as it was a ridiculous stunt. You've just scored on a wonderful volley, run to Vas for making the pass, not drop your shorts and look like a fool. Youngster or not you set an example when you pull on the shirt.
