'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Bianchi's Statement Of Intent

Seems somebody's been having a laugh at La Gazetta dello Sport at Rolando Bianchi's expense...

Widely reported quotes attributed to Bianchi have been spreading across the worldwideweb like wildfire from their origin at La Gazetta dello Sport (rag fanzine connection, anyone?). The player was quoted as being essentially ready for the off from Manchester City.

Today the club and the player have moved quickly in an effort to scotch the rumours and subsequent speculation over his MCFC future.

Bianchi told the MCFC Official site:

"The truth is that I want to stay here at Manchester City. I like the club, I like the fans and I like living in Manchester.

"The Premier League is the best league in the world and this is where I want to play my football. I don`t know where these stories have come from because I want to win things for Manchester City, and it would be fantastic if we could qualify for next season`s Champions League."

"I like the football here in England and I know I can add more goals for the team. I want to score more for my team mates, because we have all worked together so well since the summer.

"I have been learning English since I arrived here and see myself staying here for a long time."

Bianchi has bagged 5 goals from 9 League and Cup starts for City.

All power to his shooting boots.

All part of the conspiracy theory I'm working on, ronin! There are a lot of people in football who would like to see Frank, Sven and City fall.

Never believe anything that the media print . The truth only surfaces from Clubs themselves. Having said that I am convinced we will see some BIG BIG signiings coming to our Club in the next few weeks as Sven is intent on getting us into the Champions League THIS season.
