It's The Blades Away

If City progress through their 3rd round replay with West Ham they will then travel to Sheffield United in the 4th Round.

In what is always an attractive fixture for Blues supporters there is the added spice this season of useless Bryan Robson being the Blade's gaffer.

City's replay with West Ham has been confirmed for Wednesday 16th January with an 8.05pm kick off.

The fixture will be shown live on the BBC. Tickets are priced at just £10 for season ticket holders and £15 for anyone else with junior tickets just £5.

On another subject altogether, has anybody else heard the rumour going around that City, in a stunning development, have been alledgedly offered worldwide superstar and Barca fall out victim Ronaldhino by his agents as City's stock continues to rise. Now that was as long as we honoured his 6 million quid net yearly wage. Svennis is understood to have said no way!!

Could be true JB, Ronaldhino thinks we love him (we would if he came), when we gave him a tremendous reception when Barca played us, we were cheering because he chose Barca over the swamp.

Foreign players in Spain were enjoyed by reduced taxes, the tax rate does not exceed 20%, But with the beginning of this year, the Spanish government cancelled these privileges, Now the taxes become 42% !!.

City 91, Ronaldhino wont come to City we cannot guarantee Champions league football just yet. We are getting way ahead of ourselves. Lets enjoy the season, People are still waiting fo the bubble to burst, but what we have a mixture of talent, experience and youth. Everytime Svennis is interviewed, you get the feeling that he just cant believe it yet. Special praise to Stuart Pearce for giving youth a chance, Ireland, onhuoha, Richards.

Just have to metion once again Richard Dunne, who SP picked as Captain and not all players take to it, but RD's game has improved and will go almost certainly get into the City Hall of Fame.

JB we know from the start of the season that the press are guessing, with Bojinov coming back to training and El diablo here he must be looking to strengthen midfield or defense or both. City 81 I have noticed that at the start Richards played left of centre, now they have swapped round and it is working better.

Buzz- persevere with nedum at rb - the lad always looked a real prospect and needs games. Corluka 'may' migrate to the holding role as a replacement/understudy for Hamann (may even work the other way as nedum can play centrally). On Ronaldhino, don't require his services - we have a young, talented and hungry midfield who are developing together. A seen it and done it all merchant who's past his best years is not the ticket.

Craig, totally with you on this. What can Cisse add that we don't already have? Let alone other so called superstars? He is also injury prone and concentrates more on his hairdo's and beards than crosses. It's like we have arrived at a crossroads. Young signings in a team player mould similar to those already made would be ideal, a proven finisher a prerequisite BUT I don't want to see us ever drift into the buy everything that moves Chelski scenario. I'm taking comfort in the commitment Frank and Sven made towards our Academy when they arrived. With the right management policies, keeping everyone on board the next few years could be very interesting. Potential boat rockers not wanted. Come On Bojinov, get weaving sharpish!!

My fear about the rumour regarding crouch is that he cannot command a regular first team place at Liverpool, what makes the papers think he going to get one here. Don't think Anelka is coming here, not with Chelsea making published bids.

I see Sturridge is finally back in training which leaves me to believe that Sven won't sign a striker this time as it looks like that by the end of the month he will be able to choose from : Castillo, Bianchi, Bojinov, Vassell and Sturridge. This could mean the end of the road for Samaras, Mpenza, Corrido and Dickov. Leaving Sven to possibly go for a top class midfielder and another defender.
