Double Troubled rags v MCFC 02-08

Double Troubled rags v MCFC 02-08

Here are some statistics for the thousands of rag supporters out of their '333 Million' who matched their team for a pisspoor effort today....

...Many of them left The Manchester Derby early and will need to know the modern day score...

The dismissive arrogance and smugness over a supposed continuing 'domination' of liddle ciddy that oozes out of Old Trafford press conferences and rag websites continues to be misplaced...

...since we were promoted in 2002 under Mad Kev, the rags have only been able to beat us 4 times in 12 league attempts.

Manchester Derby League Results since MCFC promoted to Premier League 2104 2002

Benjani just a chip off the shoulder. You can't believe this is the same team that played Arsenal last week. Martin Tyler in the end tried to excuse the pitch the weeks emotion everything but give praise to the City team which reproduced the form they had showed earlier in the season. I wonder if Svennis showed the lads the comment by Lawrensen that Svens magic is wearing off. The more the game went on the more relaxed we played and started to pass the ball far better and in the end City won this one on merit. Thank you to everyone for making all City fans proud of our team today.

I've voted for Benjani for MotM. But the whole team were excellent, especially the defenders and Petrov! :)

This is exactly the result we needed to relight the fire this season. What an opportunity to get into Europe we've got now. Big shout for Onouha today who alongside the other Academy lads was superb. Caicedo showed some nice touches and was referred to by the Canal+ commentators in the know as "A powerful Bison." They also called Micah the Basil Boli of Manchester. Elano and Corluka to come back in. Suddenly, we've got options. Now to redress the balance with Everton.

And another thing. Many reporters omit, or forget to mention how young this City side is and that has to be taken into account when compiling today's match report: Gelson, 21. Ireland 21, Hart 20, Richards, 19, Caicedo 19, Onouha 19. Well done lads!

Frigson! I like it! And now for the EXCUSES... Step forward, Carlos Queeroz: “We had seven or eight players who played 90 minutes in a friendly during the week and every time they come back to us they are affected by it in the next game,” he fumed. “Today I think that was the case and some of our best players who played for their national teams during the week were not as sharp, showed some bad touches, and were not as inspirational as they can be."
