Double Troubled rags v MCFC 02-08

Here are some statistics for the thousands of rag supporters out of their '333 Million' who matched their team for a pisspoor effort today....

...Many of them left The Manchester Derby early and will need to know the modern day score...

The dismissive arrogance and smugness over a supposed continuing 'domination' of liddle ciddy that oozes out of Old Trafford press conferences and rag websites continues to be misplaced...

...since we were promoted in 2002 under Mad Kev, the rags have only been able to beat us 4 times in 12 league attempts.

Manchester Derby League Results since MCFC promoted to Premier League 2104 2002

Benjani just a chip off the shoulder. You can't believe this is the same team that played Arsenal last week. Martin Tyler in the end tried to excuse the pitch the weeks emotion everything but give praise to the City team which reproduced the form they had showed earlier in the season. I wonder if Svennis showed the lads the comment by Lawrensen that Svens magic is wearing off. The more the game went on the more relaxed we played and started to pass the ball far better and in the end City won this one on merit. Thank you to everyone for making all City fans proud of our team today.

I've voted for Benjani for MotM. But the whole team were excellent, especially the defenders and Petrov! :)

This is exactly the result we needed to relight the fire this season. What an opportunity to get into Europe we've got now. Big shout for Onouha today who alongside the other Academy lads was superb. Caicedo showed some nice touches and was referred to by the Canal+ commentators in the know as "A powerful Bison." They also called Micah the Basil Boli of Manchester. Elano and Corluka to come back in. Suddenly, we've got options. Now to redress the balance with Everton.

And another thing. Many reporters omit, or forget to mention how young this City side is and that has to be taken into account when compiling today's match report: Gelson, 21. Ireland 21, Hart 20, Richards, 19, Caicedo 19, Onouha 19. Well done lads!

JB, Maybe he become in few next year as like as Frigson with United and Wenger with Arsenal, His attention now to respond to his critics during a National Team.

Frigson! I like it! And now for the EXCUSES... Step forward, Carlos Queeroz: “We had seven or eight players who played 90 minutes in a friendly during the week and every time they come back to us they are affected by it in the next game,” he fumed. “Today I think that was the case and some of our best players who played for their national teams during the week were not as sharp, showed some bad touches, and were not as inspirational as they can be."

Perfect. I'm playing in my 5 a side league tonight with a group of Man Utd supporters (on my team unfortunately!) and this makes my game even before it starts. Was up early, 8:30 am start here, to get the 'live commentary' from SkySports...but would really like some info on the ref from those more in the know. I was worried due to the circumstances he'd gift something to Utd, but that seems not to be the case. Have already seen the highlights on TV and just want to know what people thought of Webb's game as there were some comments about calls not being made...

Without Blue tinted spectacles, I'd say Webb had a sound game, BC. He's yet to send anyone off this season. Odd corners weren't given and that evened out over both sides. Ladyboy Riverdancer went down too easily as usual but hardly got a sniff.

Did you guys also watch the MotD interview with Dunne and Benjani? After Dunne heaped praises on Benjani, the reporter said to Benjani: "Looks like your captain likes you!" He said: "I like him too!" Then everyone laughed. Great stuff! I like the way your team's playing - and not just because you got 6 points off ManU and Arsenal took 6 off City - your football is so very different from last year's. You guys are on a great run!

BlueCanadian, the only question that the commentators had was whether Petrov was offside for the second goal, otherwise, there was only praise for the way City played or if you look at the as a red, the bumpy pitch, the emotional week, and the tiredness of the players after having travelled to internationals during the week. Svennis had no excuses however simply that we deserved to win. JB was right they owed us one big time and I think this was it.

Alphie, no sign of Lawrensen, nothing. One thing that amazed me was they put our win down to the rags playing poorly, rather than City defending better and attacking better and infact being the better team. Sky was so busy yesterday shoving their heads up their backsides trying to find an excuse for the rags, rather than giving the praise where it was due. Only when I watched Andy Gray did they finally do that and even then Keys was trying to play on the fact that Petrov was offside for the second goal.

Buzz Missed MOTD last night as I was still celebrating down the pub and forgot to set the Video. Yes they have all gone into hiding Fergie left it to Qeiroz to come up with lame excuses. I see there has never been any mention that WE also had players on international duty last week....Ah well never mind we can take it together with all the crap that was made in the media regading the minutes silence....ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS !!!
