Not sure how Bertrand gets in there, but I have no problem with Matic Hazard and Sanchez across the middle, but David should have made the team

As for leaving out Sergio, I think the Golden Boot says it all

Nice compilation video in this link of some of Aguero's goals this season. I forgot how good the one at Loftus Road was and the one at the Stadium of Light was such a powerful strike it'd probably still be moving now if it weren't for the net

So, Suarez misses time last season for biting and he wins player of the year. Agueros out for a month and he's not even on the shortlist? Any doubt the media hates us has been confirmed.

Aguero's absence from the list speaks volume for the prejudices of the media and perhaps his fellow professionals.

I think Costa is a despicable creature entirely in the image of his master. Detest the way the pundits keep banging on about how they love 'the edge he has' instead of calling him out for being a thug who tries to wind up opponents to distract them especially whenever things aren't going well for his team. Frightful gamesmanship of the worst kind. Kane is the latest saviour of English football and whist he has had a great season if he repays it next year I will be amazed. Kun's record since he joined City stands out and for it to be continually ignored is shameful.

The failures of Scott Sinclair and Jack Rodwell are quickly used against City but far from being a place where English talent suffers Joe Hart has pointed out English talent flourishes at the Etihad Stadium.

Even Rodwell, usually hampered by injuries to be fair, were 'winners' with the Citizens.

Man City can enjoy, I wouldn't say 'relax' as there's still work to do - especially if City want to win Group D, the fact that a place in the knockout stages of the Champions League have been secured with two-matches to spare!

Football's a 'simple game' really when you defend well and take your chances, which is what City did on both counts against Sevilla on Tuesday night in a fine win in Spain.

This win has been viewed, by many, as City's finest performance in the Champions League, with it hard to argue against that isn't it? Joe Hart feels that performance at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium is the new benchmark.

I would argue that when watching Kolarov attempting to defend that football appears anything but simple . . .
