The distribution of Neuer and his positioning last night was woeful.

I thought the early save wasn't given the credit due to it, although he was caught badly flat footed for the first goal. Alonso stroked it into the net.
The second he was possibly a yard or two further off his line than he should have been. Element of luck though with it catching the shoulder of Lewdanowski.

Maybe it was lateral thinking from Joe ? Southampton were giving the ball away so much Harty thought he'd use them as middle-men ?

A pass back to Hart is usually a pass back to the opposition.

Wish he'd improve.

Almost certainly a guaranteed way to allow the opposition to get the ball back. I haven't seen any improvement since there was a direct contrast with Schmeichal under SGE. Kaspar's distribution always seem to be more accurate.

Maybe the wind is catching his 'tash' ??
Wish he would get rid of it, looks like a lost extra from a Laurel and Hardy film.

It'll be gone today Ozi. Movember is over, so all the little furry woodland creatures that have been adorning people's upper lips will be going back into hibernation.

Is it just me or has anyone else noticed Joe Hart throwing the ball out (overarm) more frequently recently? Certainly seems to be more accurate than his kicking & helps us to retain possession from what I have witnessed.

Keep it up Joe :yup:

What I've noticed a lot is Hart catching the ball and then running very quickly to the edge of his penalty area, bristling with intent, wherupon he stops and looks around until all sense of urgency is gone and he boots it hopefully up the pitch where our midfielders have to run around trying to regain possession.

I am not alone! Had been struggling to find the words but could not ahve summed it up better. He always looks lie he is desperate to start a counter attack quickly .......but is struggling to find an outfield player interested in receiving the ball early (which I cannot believe but can never disprove as they NEVER show a wide enough angle to see where everyone is). Looks good Joe, now let's actually release the ball. I do think he is throwing it out more though, and more accurately.

This is not all Joe's fault. He needs a player free to throw the ball to no further than half way. Navas is the player who should find the space to receive the ball, or Nasri on the left flank. Kicking is always a 50/50 chance to give the ball back.

Agreed - but this seems to happen a lot, can't believe players such as Navas with his speed aren't looking for the ball - Milner, Zab and Nasri too.
