Based on this season, he's not cost us points bar Stroke I'd say. He's saved us quite a few from memory, also against Roma pulled off an outstanding save at 0-1 without which we may not have qualified.

Last season, early doors, it was a different matter altogether, his errors of judgement were costing us points but to his credit he bounced back brilliantly and played his part in helping us secure the title, showed great strength of character, plenty more than most English keepers when the mob is out to get them.

besides, if the defence do their job, the other end had more than enough chances to have sewn it up by half time.

Whilst I think Hart is a very good keeper I could imagine us with someone else, someone better and thinking 'You know what, Hart was good but he wasn't quite as good as I thought, this guy on the other hand . . . '

Hart is a top keeper, but if the Spanish lad down the road, or the German World cup winning keeper fancied a step up to us, then I would take either of them as our #1.

I wouldn't have De Gea over him, he just looks good at the minute because he's busy.

What about that Everton game a while back ? I seem to recall he came out late to punch the ball or something like that and the Everton midget guy beat him to the ball with a header or something. It cost us 2 points maybe ? My memory of the events has faded with the lapse of time now but I'm sure it all unfolded something like that.

Definitely helps if every strike against him is directly AT him!

True that, watching them play Arsenal I figured the Arsenal players were having a game of who can hit him with the ball the most.

Much of the same against Liverpool, one Mario effort aside.

Both games he was awarded MOTM by S*y.

If I'm being honest, I've thought De Gea has been better for 2-3 seasons now.

Hart's a top keeper don't get me wrong. I'm ok if we keep him. He definitely brings something to the party. He's saved our bacons more than a few times and he's had many great games. I'm not slagging him off. He's England's No. 1 without any doubt. He's just lacking something in my opinion. He's not one of ye select few we call the very best in the world.

Vinnie, Yaya, David and Kun are the very best in their fields or certainly among the very best. Joe isn't. Joe is the Edin Dzeko of keepers.

If they continue to repeat those sort if performances their position in the Champions League places might be at risk

Arse and the 'rags' haven't given up either or Southampton. Even 'spuds' are fancying their chances and Chelsea, well they definitely haven't given up on the title.

Reassuring words from Joe but I'd prefer a few more clean sheets and a few more goals at the other end to a few more words from Joe.
