You can look at this in either of two ways areally ; (i) the Villans focus on the final and the players avoid injuries by not going in for tackles or are just rested or (ii) the Villans are all competing for a place in the starting 11 at Wembley and generally the prospect of the final gives them all a lift and a spring in their steps.

We need to focus on our own game really and not expect anything but a 100% commitment from the Villa under new manager who has transformed them and got them scoring goals again.

villa will have played above themselves today, like the rags did against us, but can they keep that momentum going two weeks on the run. If they could do that then they wouldn't be at the wrong end of the table and fighting for points, so I don't think they will be thinking about the final just yet, so can they raise their game at the Etihad, if they get a flying start yes, however if we get one early doors, then I expect another 3 points heading our way.

For Villa I would count on Silva out and just maybe Kun who got proper nailed on the ankle unseen by that shite ref. Hopefully Bony will be back soon as he is good in a lone striker role too. Dzeko is spent.

Lads today, and this weekend has been good and the fans at the Etihad today, came out with what has to be the 'chant of the week' all the South stand singing to Joe Hart, as its his birthday today, as well as 'happy Birthday,

Some wag started to sing,

"Don't tell Yaya We've bought you a Cake"

and by a few minutes the whole stand was singing it.....made me laugh, bet it made Joe too....

I suppose everyone noticed Dzeko after being tackled near the corner line, just walking away without a backward look to see if the ball was really going out, which it didn't and the Hammer player was off with it. Dzeko should never be allowed to pull on the shirt again.
Again, hardly a shot from outside the area when time and again we had chances by the usual culprits.
We only scored ONE goal in a game we should have had half a dozen against a weak opposition.
Three points, I'm glad, performance, not so bad, final result, poor IMO

I didn't notice that Ozi but hardly a surprise. He has become a lazy twat since extending his contract and Bonygate (the signing of Bony and his inclusion in the CL squad at the expense of Permainjured Jovetic).

I will always remember fondly the goal he scored against QPR that set up the stage for Aguero and the title win in 2012, but I cannot and will not excuse the sort of garbage I have been witnessing from him (& Nasri) recently. Shameful.
