Once more unto the breach, this time with the visit of Big Sam Allardyce's bubble blowers.

City have it all to play for, with a place in the top 4 now seemingly under threat, where not so long ago we were still in with a shout at the title. West Ham on the other hand, have nothing to play for and will have one eye on their beach towels.

A simple formality then, right?

:157:

Suspect it won't be. Let's face it, the confidence of our team has well and truly gone, as evidenced by our storming start to last weeks game at the swamp, where we looked like we were going to tear them apart, only to collectively shit ourselves and fall to pieces when the swamp-donkeys equalised. The current champions are always a decent scalp for any team, however mid-table and safe, and A. Lardass has never been a huge admirer of Manchester City, so West Ham will not be out for a stroll.

Too many of our players look as though they realise the writing is on the wall for their City careers, with Yaya Toure in particular no longer putting in his usual 75% effort in games. Add to that the fact that Kompany is injured, and this looks like it could be another nail-biter, and the media are already sharpening their poisoned pens to report on how the People's Champions deserve to be in the Top 4 more than us.

Maximum effort will be required in this game simply to maintain a semblance of pride in what has quite frankly been a thrown away season, but I for one am not sure we're going to get it. I feel rather sorry for Manuel Pellegrini, he has been badly let down by his over-paid, pampered charges and will almost inevitably lose his job as a result. His hands have been largely tied by FFP, but there is no escaping the fact his players are not playing for the shirt.

All of MCFC could do with a bit of a lift at the moment, here's hoping the players realise that and deliver.

The questions:

Guess the attendance

Predict the time of the first goal

Name the first goal scorer

Predict the correct scoreline

No time for a bonus question this week.

Happy predicting!

The Etihad will be absolute carnage if the players decide to throw in the towel. Might have to hit the pub a good few hours ahead of kick off tomorrow.
