It's the Women's World Cup, Stupid

Is it just me or does anyone else find it odd or just sexist that every single fixture is identified with the addition of 'women' after the country?

I mean it doesn't seem strictly necessary given that the fixture list is headlined as 'Women's World Cup Fixtures'

They never put 'Men' after fixtures at the male version of the World Cup e.g. Argentina Men vs Ghana Men.

Bizarre or what?

England Women will be playing their first fixture in the Women's World Cup against France Women on Tuesday 9th June btw. here's wishing them good fortune - tough opening fixture
