Aguero.

Votes also for Silva and Mangala.

Mourinho claiming Chelsea were the better side in the first half, a 1-0 scoreline was 'doubtful', and 3-0 'fake'.
Also thinks we should've finished with 9 - Fernie and Toure off.

I went for Mangala and as much out of relief as recognition of his display.

Nice to see him step up to the plate and withstand the Chelsea onslaught in the second half. He looks like he's starting to gel with Vinnie and the rest of the back 4.

Mangala had his best game for City by a mile, but it seems unfair to single any one out

Kolorov is in his best form as a blue, Sergio when he is match fit is going to be unplayable, Merlin , what can I say ?

The TEAM were fantastic, and that includes MP , now keep it going blues.

As others have pointed out, after a performance like that, it's virtually impossible to single out any one (or three), as the entire team was fantastic.

However, the stand out player for me was Fernandinho - great passing, shielded the defence superbly and a great goal to ice the cake. Not at his best last season, but in both matches so far this season he's been superb.

Silva and Mangala were the other players I've voted for, but TBH, Aguero, Kompany, Sterling and Navas all had very good games.

We looks so much better than last season it's untrue - and I think the purchase of Sterling is already starting to reap rewards - sure, he hasn't scored yet, but he puts the fear of god into defenders and creates a lot of space for our other attackers/ Frightening to think how good we'd be if we added DeBruyne to the mix!

Well played City, a convincing and thorough win. Chelsea might come back from this, but we sowed a big seed of doubt in their and Mourinho's minds today.

Navas had a cracker- looks like a new signing. Went for Mangala. Rock solid. Will be interested to see if all those w.nk.rs in the press who roasted him last season dish out the deserved credit.

What will we do when Merlin retires?

Reports in France and Spain that Mangala to be loaned out. That would be ludicrous after all the hard slog in getting this lad into gear.

Just noticed, that should read second half :doh!:

Best part of the day for me was the big arm Mangala put round Fernie as they walked off at half time. Costa didn't want to know then, the blouse.

A fantastic all round performance, but Kun gets it for me cause he got that first goal which forces Chelski to change from bus parking and makes them more vulnerable especially with their captain leader legend humiliated by Maureen.

It was Vinnie initially keeping Costa away, but quickly joined by mangala to add his support .

I agree with 5th, it was a really good team performance and very difficult to pick anyone who stood head and shoulders above the rest. They all made a contribution to this game.

Aguero, having had no pre season and his first start, had he been match fit, he personally would have had at least 4 in the first half, with Silva who put the fear into the Chelsea defensive formation and together they just destroyed it, Sergio particularly turning Chelsea inside out for the first goal. Mangala brilliant making some telling interceptions, Kolarov great crosses, Sagna, what a tackle on Hazard, Ferna getting a not so subtle revenge on Costa, I could go on but this was a battle and the war continues

Both of them doing the job then. Great support for a team mate.

Absolutely, mangers ran to protect Ferna brilliant piece of togetherness. Ferna of course coming out on top all round and to me it looks like the ugly one started it and Ferna finished it.
