Manchester's only football club travel westwards to take on Liverpool's second club on Sunday.

For longer than I can remember, Everton were a toffee shaped-reef upon which the good ship MCFC would run aground. Aided and abetted by a mysteriously pro-home team referee (YES PETER WALTON, I'M LOOKIN AT YOU YOU BENT B*****D), City would be kicked from pillar to post at Goodison, and inevitably, Everton would beat us as the decisions mounted up, usually with a goal that was hotly contested by the City faithful.

Things seemed to change slightly with the departure of the Chosen Moyesiah one to the temple of doom in Stretford, and the slightly more refined Roberto Martinez trained his charges to kick the football rather than their opponents.

However, despite a new found affinity for the "beautiful game", The Toffees still retain the ability "to get stuck in" - a fact that is illustrated by the inclusion of a player who will be familiar to all of us - Gareth Barry, the most booked player in the history of the Premier League. No mean feat!

City have had a blistering start to the season - anyone who doubted our intentions by saying "It's only West Brom" would have been left with no illusions after our complete demolition of ex-champions Chelsea. Everton have also had a decent start, with an opening day draw against Watford quickly forgotten about after their 3-0 mauling of Southampton. Make no mistake, this is a decent side we are about to face. That being said, our squad is far superior in terms of talent and ability, so why worry?

I'll tell you why I'm worried. Referees are meant to be unbiased. I suspect most of them are, at least at the start of games, although I also suspect many of them are subconsciously influenced by the noise of an irate home crowd and frequently let that cloud their decision making. However, what happens when you have a referee who comes from the area local to one of the teams they are meant to be officiating? What happens when said referee comes from a family that has a long history of being staunch supporters of Manchester City's major local rivals, yet claims to have no Premier league team affiliation, instead claiming to be a supporter of a lowly non-league team? i hate to bang on about referees, but this one certainly leaves me wondering WTF is going on with PGML.

We almost always seem to get a "peculiar" referee for our games against Everton, here's hoping he doesn't decide the outcome.

The questions:

Guess the attendance: Goodison Park holds 39572 punters, some of whom can actually see the pitch instead of a giant iron pillar

Predict the time of the first goal:

Name the first goal scorer:

Predict the correct score line:

Bonus question:

Gareth Barry has gone down in history as the most booked player EVER. Not sure how many yellow cards he's actually had, and can't be arsed to look, but pretty sure he's now into triple figures.

What i want to know is A) How many yellow cards will be dished out by our unbiased, Altrincham Town supporting Mancunian referee;

And B) Will Gareth Barry receive one of those cards?

So a two part bonus with A) worth 5 bonus points for a correct answer only; please note that I want the TOTAL number yellow cards handed out, for both teams - straight reds count as 2 yellows

B) is a simple Yes/No question and will be worth 3 bonus points.

Happy predicting!
