Ah, Spurs.

Gotta love them and their fans. Every season it's going to be their year. They start out in August believing they're going to win the league. By October, they're usually talking about finishing in the top 4. By Christmas, European qualification is their aim, and by February, they'd bite your hands off just to finish ahead of Arsenal on goal difference.

If West Ham fans blow bubbles, they must drift over to White Hart Lane and burst over the heads of those sitting below!

Funny old game football, as Spurs were once one of our closer rivals. Who can forget the mocking when they finished ahead of us and qualified for the CL in the early days of the project? Unfortunately for Spurs, when Peter Crouch scored the OG that ultimately propelled us over Tottenham and into that coveted Champions League spot, they've at best stood still, whilst City have managed to not only become Cl regulars, but have picked up a pot or 4 along the way. How quickly things change...

Not being one of my favouritest ever teams (by a long way), I generally pay very little attention to them or the crowing cocks that support them. However, unusually for an opponent, I don't really have any particular dislikes about them at the moment. None of their players are in the pantomime villain mode like a Costa or Suarez, and their Senor Pocchetino is quite a likable chap, although the Southampton fans may well disagree.

Nope, since the days of Droopy Dog and his luverly Cockney non-tax dodging, computer illiterate ways, I haven't really noticed Spurs much at all. Even signing the nastiness that was Emanuel Adebayor, since shown the exit door with a hearty boot up his arse did little to make me sit up and notice Tottenham.

Saying that, I'm not going to take this or any other game lightly. Amidst the overall dross bequeathed their manager by the hapless Tim Sherwood and the even drossier dross picked up in the summer bargain bucket, they do have a couple of decent players. Christian "I would never join Manchester City" Eriksen being one - how he must regret that decision now eh? LOL!

Anyhow, I digress. The so called mini-slump which saw us lose 2 games in a week looks to have ended with the return of the ruthless - foot-on-throat performance in the first half against the Black cats indicating that any complacency amongst the team has been well and truly slapped out of them by a dose of reality.

If the real City turn up, this will be a walk in the park. If they don't, the cocks will crow, simple as that.

City need to leave a flock of Capons behind in North London on Saturday.

The questions:

Guess the attendance: (the faintly antiquated WHL holds a meagre 36284)

Predict the time of the first goal:

Name the first goal scorer:

Predict the correct scoreline:

Bonus question: Seeing as THFC VS MCFC is the only game in town at 12:45, it will have to be a fairly boring one.

What I want to know is: How many offsides will be called in this match? Cumulative total for both teams please, and the lucky punter(s) who hit the bullseye can have 5 points. As ever, if nobody can throw straight, the next nearest guess(es) can have a consolation 3 points

Happy Predicting!
