Will the real underdogs please stand up?

Injury wracked City, devoid of arguably (not really) finest players, with others unfit or rusty, or those poor rags who had to endure a long flight? I'd say on paper even with the injuries we have a better squad, but as we all know, things like talent rarely feature in games such as these - at least at the swamp.

Will be interesting to see what team and tactics Pellegrini chooses for this one. The defence pretty much picks itself now that Kaptain Kompany is fit again, and for him to be left out as he inexplicably was against Sevilla in midweek would be disastrous, and provoke and open revolt amongst the fans. Otamendi and Mangala look an uncertain pairing, and whilst I'm sure they will get better, the swamp derby is no place for experimentation. At fullback we have the fit again Kolarov and I hate to say it, but Sagna is currently playing better than Zabaleta.

In attack, our choices seem similarly straightforward - Bony, despite not setting the world alight thus far surely must start, backed by Navas, Sterling and the buy of the season DeBruyne.

Central midfield is the conundrum for me. Fernandinho will more than likely start, and I can't argue against that. However, I'm torn between whether Pellegrini should stick with Yaya Toure or opt for the more defensive minded Fernando. Yaya is not getting any younger, and I thought he strolled through much of the midweek game until moved forward right at the end. Might it be too much for his aging legs to cope with the intensity of starting a derby?

The subs bench will once again be filled with a mixture of talented youngsters and veterans like DeMichelis such is our lack of fit senior players, so I genuinely hope we get an early grip of the game, don't ship any injuries or sendings off and don't need to throw anyone too old or too young into a dogfight.

As to the rags? Well, actually, who the F*** cares? Bunch of red shirted tits, whiners and cheats the lot of them. We'll need to keep our eye on the new boy wonder, and as ever, whoever is our captain on the day will need to remind the ref that it is HE who makes the decisions, not Wayne Rugney.

The only thing I genuinely fear from the rags is if Fellaini plays - he will most certainly be the player employed to put the "reducers" in on DeBruyne and Sterling, and as we all know, refs rarely seem to pick him up on his trips, gouges, stamps, spits, hacks and kicks. Watch your ankles Kev!

As is the case with derby games, this will probably come down to who wants it the most. Restoring Kompany to the side will certainly give us an edge in that department!

The questions:

Guess the number of tourists (official figures please, not the embarrassingly lower GMP figures the rags don't like to talk about)

Predict the time of the first goal:

Name the first goalscorer

Predict the correct scoreline

Bonus question: A two parter for this game:

Given the rags tendency to kick lumps out of us, particularly at the start of a game, I want to know:

A) How many fouls will be conceded by the Stretford Redsox?

B) Will the number of fouls the neanderthals commit be higher or lower than City's tally?

Five bonus points for a correct answer to A) (3 if nobody nails it)

3 bonus points for a correct answer to B)

Happy predicting!
