And I thought he was doing a great job.

I will not be disappointed to see the circus that he creates leave town but feel that he has been handed a massive get out clause when it comes to his reputation. He has created the corrosive climate which has delivered poor results and an underperforming squad. He has been struggling to deal with the adversity and pressure that comes with a long string of poor results. Never had to face it before, hasn't had the managerial tools to handle it IMO. His method only works when things are going well it seems.

He leaves them one point above the relegation zone ......should they improve he will always claim he would have pulled it round had he been given the chance. If they continue to struggle and finish 11th or lower he will claim he would have pulled it round and done better had he been given the chance. Unprovable but that has never bothered him before.

Either way the fact that he has not seen this through to the end of the season gives him an out to say that their failure was not all down to him.

Anyway...... :screw u:

If they're relegated (Oh yes please!) He'll claim that he could have turned it around and finished 11th.

Time for the little horse to jog on.

According to reports there were factors within the dressing room that were not pulling their tripe out to win games.

We had the same at City, the difference was that you cut out the dead wood and your tree will grow, moral is don't sack the Gardner unless the tree dies.

I like Maureen he is good fun, but I think a few stabbed him in the back, so odds on Moyes or Gary Monk or Bob or John Stones who comes with a free gift of Roberto Martinez

Shame, I was enjoying watching him squirm.

It's Sunderland I feel sorry for, nah not really.

Good riddance.
Was sick of the sycophantic multi-media with their "Jose" this and "Jose" that all the time. I just hope he doesn't get another Prem job.

They must be holding out for Pep.

Don't be surprised if US Soccer reaches out to him. Quite a few fans are getting tired of Klinsmann.

You do 5 live a disservice, Fifth - it was 90 minutes.

They had our old friend Rob Beasly on for part of it (one half of the infamous Sunday Supplement crew prior to Fulham away following Hughes's dismissal), and it was......eye opening

Seriously, it was on the cards, but I didn't think the hand would be played so quickly. His post match after Leicester was the final straw it seems to me.

I seriously believe that he wanted to get the push and did not struggle too much to keep his job. He did not want this season, a failure, to be on his cv. That wouldn't work for his image and the myth of how great a motivator, how wonderful a manager he is and he is now available should LVG get the push at the Swamp.

His last post match interview was about be 'betrayed' by some players - but ignored the conditions which he created to make them not give 100%.

He will now promote the myth that whatever happens at Chelsea HE could have pulled things around if he had been given the time.

Just as well I missed the Radio 5 Live tribute act as I have only just recovered from a bout of illness :82:

It's funny how that graphic never surfaced when the debate was being had about us providing the worst ever title defence.

Confirmation bias - If he had seen it he would have ignored it as inconveniently not fitting his narrative.

The silence on the subject so far tells its own story
