Is there any point in UKIP now?

No I think Boris indirectly alluded to them in his speech this am.

Anyone else tired of the recriminations and acrimony that has been so prevalent since the referendum result? Desperately disheartening to see such responses and arguments. Hope we can pull together soon but see little chance of that happening as the polarisation deepens and people make their grab for power. Very sad

I agree Skoorb, it's like a fire sale, although I think that the Leave group didn't have a plan A because they did not expect to win.

The EU officials are acting like children and here London want to be independent along with Scotland and Ireland.

millions want to change bring in a rule because they lost. They should have thought about that before the vote not after, I think that was because they were smug and expected to walk it.

I'd say for overseas CITK, sometimes the accent doesn't travel well across the Irish Sea, especially Darn Sarf

It's not going to be easy and will be long, drawn out and protracted but it will be worth it in the end.

I opened the thread expecting to find a lot of members moaning about coming out (cannot stand the B word) i didn't vote as i was on the fence but now am glad we are leaving.

I used to think *Tim Farron was a decent bloke but he has gone right down in my and many voters (up here) estimation, he will not accept the people have decided to leave and wants another vote all i can say is tough.

*Timothy James Farron is a British politician who became Leader of the Liberal Democrats in July 2015.

Spot on CT, Unbelievable that he would advocate staying ion when the majority voted to leave the corrupt EU.

It was set up initially for trade purposes not to become a place that imposes unpopular laws which we can do nothing about, I will add that some laws I agree with, but the fact we will now transfer all laws for the EU into British law and then repeal those that are not required.

I also believe that the refusal to give the Scottish parliament the right to hold another referendum is correct at this time, let us deal with one thing one at a time and it may be hopefully that we will be better off outside Europe's community in which we have been the second biggest economy supplier.

It would make sense that they make a trade deal with us, but also sensible that we can deal and trade with other countries such at the Commonwealth.

I think Tim Farron has got this one wrong and as for the Labour leader a remainer was spectacularly missing in the run up to the referendum and is heading a very poor opposition and to have a Good Government, whatever party depends on how strong the opposition is.

I watched the BBC Question Time special broadcast on Monday and found myself incresingly irritated at the posturing of people like Nick Clegg whose only points seemed to be referring to old comments madde by David Davies about the EU and the constant moaning by Alex Salmond (no surprise there). Instaed of putting what has happened behind them and choosing to work positively towards whatever the future holds for their country, some of the panel simply could not shake themselves out of their narrow political positions to get behind the decison that was taken and support the task of securing the country's future.

The die is cast. Time to look to the future and deal with the situation in a positive way instaed of carping from the sidelines and pulling sour faces.

The EU has been inculcating love for itself in schools and other educational establishments for at least the past 25 years, spending millions of EU taxpayers' money on brainwashing young malleable minds about its absolute and unquestionable benefits. With no counterbalancing information. DItto the BBC, which has also received millions in subsidies and has incidentally even admitted its own "bias". Similar propagandizing has gone on in local libraries across the land, with a plethora of books in favour of the EU and a handful critiquing it. Local councils, both left and right, replaced the Union flag on their town halls with the EU's own. So yes, what is indisputable is that for a very long time there's been a systematic attempt to brainwash the entire country. It's therefore quite miraculous that enough LEAVE voters retained their critical faculties to see through the great subterfuge.
