Oh dear....

Not a good day at the office for Patrick Viera.

Frank Lampard was jeered by his own fans as his New York City side were humiliated 7-0 by New York Red Bulls.

Frank has not been very popular with the fans since he moved to New York. I presume its because of his huge salary and his constant injuries.

Seems they have not forgiven him for delaying his arrival.

He could have won them round with sterling performances but having not done so.......they clearly think they have a dud compared to Villa and Pirlo.

The match is on Sky Sports 3 should anyone want to witness the pain.

saw it, they were awful, they need new people in every position, they have been lucky this season, but when they play the bulls they just fall apart.

sack the manager

They were indeed awful. PPP performance from all.

Just 11 blokes wearing the same shirt really. Very poor. Not sure it helped Lampard coming on at 0-5 down.

I am convinced that NYCFC are not helped by the fact that they have to play at the Yankee baseball stadium where the constraints of the arena mean the pitch is very narrow (in fact I am not sure it actually makes the correct FIFA approved width measurement if I recall - presumably they have been given special dispensation). Crowds the play and allows more experienced - in MLS terms - teams to pressure them. They certainly made enough mistakes in this game.

Patrick Viera needs to get a grip of them big time.

This discussion board seems to sum things up....

https://www.reddit.com/r/NYCFC/comments/30tj7j/discussion_on_the_siz...

NYCFC pitch is 106m X 68m (FIFA stipulate 110m X 70m minimum but I bet the referee doesn't carry a tape measure before the game)

A condensed pitch is not the best for sides wanting to play possession style. That said most of the comedy goals given away against red bulls seemed to come from corners!

NYCFC top of the league.

Got revenge on the Red Bulls yesterday with a 2-0 win, reflects very well on Vieira that, he obviously learned from the humiliation, bodes well.
