"Never give up. Never surrender."

Everyone sees us as money bags and think we just out price everyone else when it comes to transfers, no-one looks at the time before City joined the elite, no-one questioned why the same four Clubs competed for the top four spots and these clubs stole your best players.

The season voted the best ever in the Premier was when City won it, Spurs, Leicester, the top four is not a given any more and it makes the League exciting and the football more exciting.

Manchester City don't have a right to win all their matches, but they do have a right to have their matches fairly refereed.

I don't think it's falling out with top flight football, but the constant chipping at our Club and that what demoralises us.

as Skoob says "Never give up. Never surrender." COME ON CITY!!

I've seen comment on Twitter that our old friend Anthony Taylor has been appointed as the FA Cup final referee, and that Arsenal fans aren't happy about it.

If it's true, it just goes to show how having a couple of shockers (at least) isn't going to be held against you.

All I can say is that it reminds me of the scene in 'The Great Escape' when the characters of Richard Attenborough and Gordon Jackson get on the bus under the gaze of the Gestapo....'Good luck'

I am haunted by the image of Taylor moving his whistle to his mouth after Ag├╝ero has been shoved to the ground by Luiz........only then to unaccountably bottle it. Utter coward.

Colin is the King 'If it's true, it just goes to show how having a couple of shockers (at least) isn't going to be held against you.'

if these shockers had been on the wrong end of Stretford, he would be still doing no league for a couple of years

Whilst looking into referee assignments and the 'Ferguson Effect' I stumbled across this article. It is dated having been penned 5 years ago but it just drives home the fact that we ARE NOT ALONE in feeling that official decision making is not a level playing field.

Haven't tracked one down but it would make an interesting piece. I have considered doing something for VMC but it all felt too depressing and I was just coming out of my "we won robbed" post-match funk so decided not to suppress my mood even further

Refreshing not to be on the receiving end of shit refereeing in a big game, long may it continue.

I know. A breath of fresh air. Let's hope Kevin Friend continues with this on Sunday.

I think it only right that I acknowledge the general shit standard of refereeing working in our favour today, it's about time we found that roundabout.

I hear you Bluey but I hope the refs have a good look at themselves during the break.
If any of them have any respect for themselves, they will be ashamed if they watch any of their games in replay.
Hmm, a lot of anys there.

Remember the start of the season when the memo went out to cut out holding, tugging and wrestling. Sterling got pinged with a pen and then it was business as usual for the Stokes and others. Lack of consistency by refs is was and always will be an issue.

On the issue of consistency, that free kick that they scored as a result of yesterday was exactly the same infringement as Darmian on Sterling in the Derby on the edge of the box, for which he got nothing, it's very frustrating.

It's why we'll always be at the mercy of the officials 'interpretation' of any event
