Sorry it's late Blues, a superb team performance but who was the crème de la crème?

A lot of players did well to beat the Hammers 5-zip at home. Why their best player Payet did not start is beyond me, but good for us. Merlin was truly excellent, but Zabba also did the job he was asked to do very well, so I picked him. Also noted that Red Kev played deeper in the first half and this maybe helped us to avoid that early sucker goal that we find difficult to recover from and then allows our opponents to sit back in two banks of 4/5. Al in all a very pleasing game to watch with a good gap before we get stuck into the toffs. Just wish that Sterling could deliver in front of goal more often, practice, practice, practice. Now off to the beach, a sultry 35C today.

Merlin Otta and Willy in that order. The competent defence allowed Yaya and red Kev time to play some sensational passes to the forwards. If we can reproduce this against Everton it would be a great confidence booster.

There's were many candidates in what was perhaps a glimpse of a Guardiola side.......but I have gone for Zabaleta. For me he was the oil in the wheels of a very slick machine last evening - thrust into an unfamiliar role he did the simple things well and just kept popping up everywhere.

Our version of Phillip Lahm?

Zabaleta originally a midfield player and one position that he has played for his country, but surprises the commentators.

Silva has found his wand again, and sterling had a cracker.

Caballero for me is better than Bravo

Man City Player Ratings v West Ham (06/01/17)

Manchester City tore West Ham United a new backside at the London Stadium last night and this is how I rated our players.

Thought Big Will did a good job, Zaba played a great game as did Merlin.
The rest were not half bad at all.
