This man was not broadcast on TV like most of the FA Cup matches they were subject of a 5 minute highlight programme, insufficient to nominate a player.

However I know that Skoorb attended the match and will leave it to him to nominate the player

If any other blues fan attended the match please feel free to comment.

thank you

No pressure then......

And the candidates I nominate are.......

David Silva for his fluid, visionary best.....

Yaya Toure for policing the middle of the park and superb free kick execution.....

Leroy Sané for a confident, exciting performance.......

Gabriel Jesus for a scintillating full debut where he exhibited no nerves but showed his pace, strength, determination, trickery and vision (& for being un-phased by the biblical hailstorm witnessed in the seconf half).......

....I was going to wait until later but having to think on it for me there really is no contest.

For a young man of 19 years of age to make his full debut in one of the toughest leagues in the world far from his native land to deliver a performance where he exhibited no nerves but just got on with the job and was confident enough to demonstrate his skill but also be prepared to work his socks off and get stuck in.........

My winner is..........Gabriel Jesus

P.S. The weather isn't always like you experienced on Saturday!

I knew you would come up with an answer, it is always difficult, when only a few have actually watched the match and i cannot disagree purely on the pass by Jesus for Sterling's goal, even though Sterling still had a lot to do, he was at l was on his best foot.

Pep's vision of mobile, fast forwards, comfortable receiving the ball in tight spaces supported by the passing of a midfield player capable of seeing and delivering the passes......

He has moved a step forward in shaping the team to play to the idea he has in his mind's eye.

There are two further candidates in the EDS if only they can make the step up and can play that fast passing game that is such a trade mark of Barclona and I think you are right,

This season is basically a learning one for Pep, he will know what he needs in the Summer, but have we turned a corner and come into form, it's a wait and see for Wednesday

Not seeing a game doesn't normally stop me from entering into the spirit of MotM so I'll go for Merlin followed by Sane and GJ33.

Yes but I would want the guidance of someone who was there, perhaps I should have asked Skoorb to give player ratings and then we could all have a vote based on those

Based on tha, then it's a good call Kenny.

You gave to love a debut like Jesus's because he was highlighted on the been, and they showed he was prepared to get stuck in.

The main thing for me he did make a meal of Lesley's potential red card tackle and luckily he came out of it relatively unscathed and BFS should thank his stars his team still had 11 at the end.

It was pretty much a nerveless display. He was unfazed by the attention he received from Palace defenders, demonstrated his willingness to get stuck in and was unafraid to show his abilities. A good debut which only missed a goal to ice the cake

Not long I expect. They are always on the lookout for fresh meat. Perhaps a pic of him buying a donut at Krispy Kreme or putting out some clothes in a charity bag for collection. You know. Something newsworthy.
