Everton certainly need some sort of lift.

Fat Sam has expressed interest?

Yes I see that JK and it would suit them to have him get them looking like they have some back bone again. He can help them regain some confidence I’m sure.
They might need another type of lift though for big Sam.

It is a laugh. I also saw him linked with Inter and AC Milan, and this after he has come out and said he wanted to extend his contract.

If we should lose young Pablo it will be a crying shame, but only 30 million euros, no way in this crazy transfer market

30m Euros seems an awful lot if he is deemed to be 'surplus to requirements' at Eastlands. How much do you think he is worth, 40, 50, 60 million? - I agree that it would be a shame if he was to be sold but there is a nice symmetry about us buying Danilo for £25m and then sending young Maffeo in the opposite direction. Alternatively he could end up alongside Dennis Suarez at Barca but let's hope it doesn't come to that...

Very much doubt he'll be going to either, now the Valencia rumour I can see having some legs with a buyback option.

This is what pissed me off about Alves, had he signed then we'd have a veteran, one in their prime and an up and coming youth player, a clear progression plan. Now however it looks like we're blocking his path to the first team with two right backs in their prime.

Meanwhile Yaya looks New York bound, question is will it be in January or June.

I think January, Pep thinks Yaya is too slow and holds up his sort of game, He is too good just to sit on the bench game after game, so let him go and free up funds.

Maffeo is Ideal for us and would be cost a lot less that Alves I think

Re Yaya. I agree if we are not going to use him, then off he must go in January. He's on £220,000 a week (I believe) and that's an awful lot of money being wasted if he's not playing.

I'm not sure what he's making but reports suggested that the one year deal he got in the summer was at a reduced rate.

Who provides cover if Ferny gets hurt? Do we change our shape? Can Gundogan fill in?

Good question, I thought Gundogan was earmarked for that role when he first came but hasn't played there yet as far as I can recall. I guess Delph and Danilo can play there too.

Delph's natural position, but then we don't have cover his position. Is it time to promote from the EDS? I'm hoping so!
