Ok here we go.....the media revisionists have taken centre stage.

Is it just me or has anyone else noted the sudden 'downgrading' of the sums involved in the Sanchez transfer? Suddenly it is now a 'Swap deal' and Sanchez's wages are being quoted as a basic ( ) £300k per week rather than the £450-500k that was previously reported. Whereas when City were in the market for the player the numbers were all being Bigged Up now they all seem to be taking the line that this was sweet business and not such a big financial outlay after all.

Seems to me that when it suited and City were in the market for the player that it suited the rags to boast how much they could afford to pay and how they were out-bidding City.........now it appears that they angle of 'financial prudence' and 'what a steal this deal was' are emerging. The rag press team have gotten to work and fed the hacks the line that makes them look better rather than having had to go out and acquiesce to the player's every inflated demand in order to secure his signature.

Perhaps the line from Carragher on last weeks's Monday Night Football -"maybe U*d have to pay more than City now" - struck a nerve at the Old Toilet and their friends in the media have decided to cast it in a better light.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2018/jan/22/alexis-sanchez-join...

Now it's a 'Swap Deal'.....with no mention of any fee or wages.....funny that from the BBC

Henrikh Mkhitaryan has a market value of £35M and Stretford bought him for £30m in 2016

The transfer market are showing £36m in respect of his transfer to Arsenal, I assume that is what Stretford will have to show on their books

Yes, the old "Sky sources" have started to ramp up on this one. I don't know much about him though, is he any good?

Only saw him play a couple of times, seems to have all the right attributes, good with the ball at his feet, 6ft 3" so I'm guessing he can hold his own physically/aerially and has played at left back.

Oh and it means we won't be signing Johnny fecking Evans, so that's an added bonus.

Rumour has it that we're back in for Laporte who has a release clause of between €60-€65m depending on which report you believe.

Also rumours that Fred from Shaktar could become a City player this month.

Is there some unwritten rule, hitherto unnoticed that says all our holding midfielders names have to begin with F?

Edin headin' to the Bridge.

The Bootlicker is on Twitter calling for the rags to hijack out deal for Laporte.

‘In my very short time in Spain we played them 3 times! This lad can play! Get in United,’

This could be bad news for one of our CB, but which one? unless Pep intends to play three at the back

The is supposedly the "latest" on Laporte.
Do we trust what Ballbag says?

I was under the impression that once a player had spurned us we wouldn't go back for them - you had your chance and you blew it! - so why this chap, or have I imagined it?
