Indifferent. Not sure we needed him and he can be a bit of an arse in the dressing room by all accounts.

Totally agree. Team chemistry is undervalued.

Talking of which the Emirates dressing room should be a barrel of laughs...

Interesting to see if we let Mangers go if we don't bring one in

Eliaquim Mangala is refusing to accept Crystal Palace's offer, putting City's move for Jonny Evans at risk. [@MirrorAnderson]

Mangers was waiting for Inter to come in, but they wanted a loan deal rather than buy him out-right , the other offer was Palace and not exactly in the same League nor are likely to be either, so the silver lining is we get to keep Mangers Gooners get to keep Sanchez and The Baggies most certainly can keep Jonners

So apart from Bony is our day done and dusted? I think all our loan deals are out and no more business unless Arsenal wake up and smell the coffee, £60m or sweet FA.

Guardian reporting Sanchez deal is off

I am neither here nor there. A lot to pay for a 29 year old who would be on a long mega bucks contract. Not quite sure he is quite what we need & as others have said the situation defensively is perhaps more worthy of serious attention.

Can't say I blame him, not sure I'd fancy exchanging rubbing shoulders with Merlin, Aguero and Otamendi in the training ground cafe for a relegation fight in Sarf Landaarn tahn.

It's all fizzling out like a damp squib on a wet bonfire night but it's a right giggle watching Sky still trying to big up the final hours.

In regards our defence, we did concede the least amount of shots on goal per game in the Premier League last season, we have significantly strengthened the weakest areas of that defence, areas which we conceded a number of goals last season as our fullbacks weren't fit for purpose.

Early days but it looks like we have a keeper in form too.

The next weakest part of our squad was a lack of goals, we've let Nolito, Navas and Iheanacho go and haven't replaced them. It's not a disaster if Sanchez doesn't come but I would love to see him at City because not only does he bring goals, he brings tenacity too, the type of player that would reinvigorate our attack akin to what Jesus did when he arrived in January.

On the plus side, if we don't get Sanchez it should mean Diaz gets more minutes this season than he would've done otherwise.

Mangers is no worse than Evans imo, I see now the Dippers have been given £26m for their CB Sakho, so we were selling EM short just to get rid. Maybe EM's wages are pretty high

Early days in the scoring part of the side but how true your remarks about Sanchez

In the end Nolito, Navas and KI72 were only there to make up the numbers - we've replaced three bit part players with a future first XI stalwart in Silva (B) plus as you say their absence could open the door for Foden and Diaz.

Arsenal can have an unhappy player until January when we could go back with a revised offer - should we still feel we need him.

Silva is Silva's heir though, whether it be Sanchez or not we're light a player up front now.

Not if he intends to bring on Diaz and Foden, using them in a kind of Iheanacho role, I suspect he may start them in the League Cup and or early FA Cup rounds.
