Karanka - not sad to see the back of Maureen's mate after our last outing. Wonder who will get the gig next?

City still have to visit Boro at the Riverside in the league.....

Boro fans seem pleased with his departure, especially the ones who phoned up talkSPORT.

I think its going to be too late for any new manager to change the players mind-set and IMO they will go down.

I think it is always sad that they sack managers after losing to City. Why is that?

We do seem to be catalyst for this sort of thing - they either get the bullet after we play them or get appointed just before we play them. I'm still grumpy after Villa gave Garde the job immediately before we played them in Nov 2015. They were in freefall under Sherwood. Perked up to eek out a draw against us.......and then resumed being pants

Can you believe the change in Leicester? Are we to believe that Shakespeare is the great motivator or did they just want to get rid of Ranieri.

Krankie just sent his men out to boot City(apart from Negredo) and if that is the way they play then they wont miss him.

The change at Leicester is........treacherous. For me, the way in which Ranieri's departure 'sank without trace' within the media is even more bemusing. City took weeks of heat for the Mark Hughes departure including the apparently 'fake news' that Mancini was at the ground and I recall the media going nuts about how Hughes was treated. In Ranieri's case the stories about the contact between the players and the owners got very little publicity and the duplicity of some key movers (Schmeichel; Vardy etc) was ignored.

From what I have been able to glean the players seemed to dislike changes instituted by Ranieri including training routines, diet, & team selection policy.........and I think the players stitched their former manager up because they didn't like the changes. Shakespeare promised them more of awhat they liked from the sweet trolley so they ditched the mean headmaster. It doesn't take much to lose in the PL especially if you are playing at the max to maintain the standard. Drop that work rate 5%, just fail to track someone once, fail to make the fully committed tackle which you had done before in the title winning season......and 'boom' - your opponents take advantage.

I do hope they get dumped through the trapdoor and City do the dumping.

All the 'they were right to sack Ranieri' that is now emerging is tripe of the highest order. It avoids the real question - where were these performances under their previous manager. Shakespeare cannot get the credit for just bowing to player power.

I expect to see a rise in the number of time the cheat Vardy goes aerial inside opposition penalty areas from now on.
