87: A shake of the head from Pochettino as Walker-Peters is caught offside. Will be interesting to hear what the Spurs boss has made of the performance.

WHAT A SAVE from Muric there to deny Janssen, it looked to be a simple finish but the Swiss stopper appeared from nowhere to claw the ball to safety! (He must have come from somewhere ffs)

SKY on the same incident!

88: CHANCE! Super recovery from Muric after Janssen does really well to flick the ball over the goalkeeper. It looks like he will volley into the open net but Muric dives in from behind and knocks the ball away.

GOAL! MAN CITY 3-0 TOTTENHAM (Diaz 90+1)

Pinball in the Spurs box as Nasri's shot is blocked, then Vorm saves from Foden's powerful drive, before eventually Diaz finishes from close range.

SKY being nice again

MAN CITY 3-0 TOTTENHAM

And that's the end of that. Man City win comfortably after a very impressive display. Spurs were second best all across the pitch and were fortunate not to lose by a greater margin.

City 3-0 Spurs
Stones, Sterling, Diaz

Stats

City first figure
Possession 52.7% 47.3%
Corners 3 - 6
Fouls 5 -13
Offsides 4 - 8
Yellow Cards 1 - 0 (Alli deserved one, but it was Vinnie who got it)
Shots on/off Target total 17 - 11 on 6 - 4 on

some good shooting stats, but Lloris was the busier of the two and kept the score down. Pep will be pleased with his expensive GK as well as his inexpensive one(Muric).

It is quite difficult to sum up the match, but reading the commentary it was obvious that City were by far the superior team, even when the changes were made, City still looked the most likely to win
However we should not get carried away with the results of the last two matches, they were friendlies but the preparation for the season looks good, I wonder if he intends to keep Nasri and Mangala or simply displaying them to suitable prospective buyers.

I was fortunate to see the game on tv in LA. Craig Burly was right when he said we should have scored 6. Yaya looked up for it when he came on. Kun looked disenterested. VK left a bit in many tackles. This was not a friendly for him. Otta worrisome as usual on the slide tackles. Sterling excellent and scored a great goal. Red Kev also good. That Dier is a nasty piece of work. Would fit right in at the rags. Early doors but the spuds looked crap.

A good game to watch and not played at a friendly pace. Beating Spuds is always good, so hope we can take good form into the new season. Loved the long goal kick up to Kun who hit the post, great new tactic, better than a long throw in.

I didn't see the game but it sounds like we deserved the 3-0 win.

Super posting guys - thanks for the updates

This how the ICC table for the USA looks this morning.....above the rags yet again

Can't be asked to faff about with formatting so the numbers from L-R are....

Played - Won - Lost- Goals F:A - Points

1. Barcelona 3 3 0 6:3 9
2. Man City 3 2 0 7:3 6
3. Man United 3 1 1 3:2 5
4. AS Roma 2 1 0 4:3 4
5. Juventus 2 1 0 4:4 3
6. Tottenham 3 1 0 6:8 3
7. Paris SG 3 0 1 5:8 2
8. Real Madrid 3 0 0 4:8 1

I think the bosses back in AD will look upon this as a favourable outcome

It should've been ten, no really it should've.

Dele thinks he's Muhammed, nice to see our boys sticking it right up to him.
