Alderweireld has the lot for me Neverstops, PL experience, decent physicality and pace, a familiarity of sorts with Pep's philosophy given his Ajax upbringing, weaken Spurs even further.

That's just fantasy though, can't see Spurs even entertaining an offer from us for him.

I agree BD but even if Spuds were willing to part, what price?, nothing short of another record for a defender, when we come to sell players we dont get value for money.

Simple supply and demand though Buzz isn't it? when we're selling its generally damaged goods on high wages that we want to offload.

When we're buying its generally players that clubs don't want to part with.

Not sure Pep doesn't rate Otters, as he picked him in 30 out of 38 league games last season. Don't know if it's true, but I remember reading somewhere that Alderweireld has a buy out clause in his contract for £23?m that triggers next summer, so if we are interested in him, it probably won't be this summer

We're also buying players for positions where they know we are exposed after three out of four full backs departed in the summer. At least these deals have been done and we aren't going to start the season with playing peopleout of position to cover as the transfer window closes.
