More youngsters enter the fray after our third.
Excellent control.

And good to see the lesser-spotted Bernie Silva on the pitch.

Sky have done a report.

Needless-to-say, nothing on the rag-infested BBC.

This was a friendly, but from the off Bilic's side parked the bus and i assume this is the tactic they will employ at Old Toilet when their campaign starts. They were not intending to concede goals nor were they intending to score. I think they had their first shot in the second half and their first corner too came well into the second half.

The silence of the crowd in Iceland was so quiet you could literally hear JH1 effing and blinding and a repeated 'Man on'. We were treated to the Icelandic chant although it was not as good as the one at the Euros.

Pep sent out a team that lacked a left back as when the game started Danilo was wide right and it was from that possession that he picked off a West Ham pass deep into Hammers territory, he found De Brune on the edge of the box who squared it to Jesus and harty was beaten for the first time.

The goal did not bring out West Ham, but either that was their intention or the pressing from the City players hunting in two to recover the ball and time and again, wave after wave City attacked Harty's goal and he made a couple of good saves. Zabaleta showed what a good acquisition he is but he too was delightfully skinned by Sané on one occasion, but no matter how much possession or superiority they could not get a second before half time.

All change at Half time for West Ham virtually, the whole team, but it created gaps and with 10 minutes of the restart Sergio Aguero got his first and only goal of pre-season, coming from a slick City Movie, Sane laying it out wide left to David Silva and a cross across the face of the goal Aguero finished no problem.

All change for City on the hour, with Tosin, Diaz, Foden, Roberts joining Bernardo, Zinchenko, Sterling, Mangala, F25 and Walker, So the whole of the outfield was changed with the exception of Ederson.

City Scored again through Sterling, Foden had an effort blocked but it deflected into the path of Raheem Sterling who beat JH1 with ease.

The rest of the match was City chasing the ball to retrieve it when they lost it and most of the match was played in West Ham's half.

Not sure if it was a good work-out, but City last season had trouble scoring against Big Bus defending, not today, but today was a friendly.

Stats City first figure.
Possession 69.7% - 30.3%
Corners 14 - 1
Fouls 7 - 8
Offsides 2 - 2
No cards issued, although the ex rag deserved one for a nudge on Otamendi, causing the latte to fall heavily, but no foul given (Nico got his own back a few moments later, with a fair but firm challenge which left Chickyourcheeto regretting his earlier challenge.
Shots on/off Target 6 off 7 on 1off 1 on

Great summing up Buzz

Just caught up with the game.....

Pep will have been very pleased with what he will have seen - right from the get go seeing Sergio winning the ball back on the edge of his own penalty area will have warmed his heart; great closing down all over the park; excellent movement and a desire to play penetrating passes through the opposition midfield.

Moment of the game.......Shane's first time pass to play in the almost unrecognisable David Silva to cross for Sergio to slot home

Most irritating thing.......listening to Joe Hart's incessant yelling
