Come on, Bernie. The least you can do is score a coupe of goals.

I don't think our players would be affected, probably just spur them on more.

Let's remember to put Brighton to the sword when they visit the Etihad.

Job done.

Needed patience and then the quality to break through the determined resistance put up by Chris Hughton's team. They parked the bus and showed limited ambition which is understandable - had they nicked a goal it would have been an even greater struggle - but capitalising on that lapse in concentration was the key.

'The scoreline flatters Brighton'
Brighton 0-2 Man City

Fred Eyre
Former Man City player on BBC Radio Manchester

As the game wore on, it was just a matter of when the Brighton defence would crack. Aguero was inevitably the man who opened the scoring and opened the floodgates.

The second goals was an unfortunate own goal for Lewis Dunk because he held the back four together with his mate Shane Duffy.

I think the scoreline does actually flatter Brighton, and it could have been a lot more.

If we had been able to get out of second gear, it would have been six. I think our pre season sucess may have affected us a bit. Back to work boys.

Off to Spain for the training camp in the sun and the friendly against Girona on Tuesday.

Watch out for the Match Preview in the next few days.

No sign of it being shown on any tv channels domestically

Mendy has tweeted 'Bullet header" in response to Dunk's OG

I expect this to get turned into a massive issue by the media once they get hold of it.

Unnecessary really and once again underlines why I detest Twatter

BT studio pundits have already condemned Mendy, and they don't need much to latch on to if it's a negative against City.
I hope someone at the club has a quiet word in Mendy's ear.
