We simply have to. Shocking and once again crap refereeing has a big say.

Hate that I'm talking about a referee again but he's just awful.

Fwiw I think Schneiderlin's second yellow was harsh, meanwhile Gueye is going through players with impunity all game long. The bloke doesn't know what he's doing.

I thought Walker's first yellow was harsh nevermind that farcical second one.

I don't think you can appeal against yellow cards, so he'll cop a one match ban.

Ironic that Cahill was given a straight red for Chelsea against Burnley, misses three; Fabregas very similar tackle for his second yellow (when probably should be straight red), misses one.

Agreed. Maybe a three match ban for that blind monkey impersonating a referee.

There are a lot more yellow cards and so appealing them all would be a nightmare but it ridiculous that obvious mistakes cannot be corrected.

As soon as I saw Madley had been allocated to the game I had concerns. Gueye should have been booked for persistent foul play for sure; he took zero action about the chronic time wasting by Holgate especially; was conned by Calvert-Lewis when he faked a facial injury after the Walker contact

Yep, you're correct. Clubs cannot appeal yellows which then turn out to be a red

By rights Calvert Lewin should be sitting out the next game for cheating and Walker should be free to play.

Maybe this sort of play acting should be looked at by the Diving Panel.

Otamendi might have to look at his actions too - I do think he was caught on the chin by a flailing hand but he went down with a similar reaction and was very quickly back on his feet & he has previous for it. Not something I like about his play.

Walker and Scheiderlin's sliding challenges were similar - having booked Walker for his on Baines then there was no question the second had to get a card. Scheiderlin can have no complaints about his first on Agüero.

The BBC says that Kyle looked at his man before backing in, but on the brighter side, it is a good job we have Danny Boy.

What does it matter if he looked at him? Players look at each other all the time.

Do we know what he was booked for? (I didn't see/hear any post match analysis)
It looked like it was for an elbow, but if the ref thought that, then it should have been a straight red. The irony being, we could have appealed that

He was booked for having the temerity to wear a City shirt.

340 senior career appearances before his first home game for City and didn't receive his marching orders once.

I see the FA have said Calvert Lewin's actions won't go to review, well done, perfect opportunity to lay down a marker that this shit won't be tolerated and they fail at the first time of asking.

Why am I not surprised. Gary Neville's unwillingness to call out Calvert-Lewin for his actions the post match analysis is symptomatic of the hypocrisy within the game given the approbation which Sané received for going to ground easily in the away game against Boro last season.

This disconnect is causing a short circuit in my brain as I fail to see the difference. There is contact with Sane's leg, he goes over and is roundly condemned for diving. Calvert-Lewin takes the chance to clutch his face after contact from an opponent and this is regarded as 'clever play' but NOT subject to the same scrutiny.

The criteria set out by the FA is ......

"Although attempts to deceive the referee by feigning injury or pretending to have been fouled is a cautionable offence for unsporting behaviour, the fact that the act of simulation has succeeded in deceiving a match official and, therefore, led to a penalty and/or dismissal, justifies a more severe penalty which would act as a deterrent.”

How were his actions NOT an attempt to feign injury?

Unbelievable
