Informative preview but how are our total number of ties against Dutch opposition an uneven number, wouldn't all ties in the CL be over two legs making it an even number?

Apparently in 2008-09 when we qualified for UEFA Cup through the Fair Play ranking

"A five team group stage then followed, in which each team played the others once. Manchester City were drawn with Twente, Schalke 04, Racing de Santander and Paris Saint-Germain. City topped the group, after wins against Twente and Schalke..."

Six teams from the Premier League & Scottish Premiership qualified for this season's Champions League.

Guess which is the only one whose first tie in the competition is played away from home?

Yes - it's exactly the same as the only side facing an away fixture in their domestic league on the weekend after the Champions League fixtures.......

Have you guessed who it is yet?

If it makes you feel happier when the return fixtures are played we should be the only side at home.

Good times!

Thanks for that - I was taking it as referring to the CL only.

Thank the Lord for small mercies and fixtures clashes. Hopefully this will continue through the rest of the campaign and all the ex-dippers will be unavailable to cover our games.

About time.

(Mind you be interesting to watch them discussing events at the Etihad on Saturday )

Manchester City got their UEFA Youth League campaign off to a fine start with a 2-0 win over Feyenoord in Rotterdam.
