Another FIFA investigation?

Both the Fail and the Telegraph are reporting we're under investigation from FIFA according to a spokesman.

I'm not linking the articles as they don't deserve the clicks.

What gets me about this is that FIFA normally issue a statement to say a club is under investigation, just yesterday they released one to inform that Chelsea are to be investigated again.

Yet no such statement regarding City despite these reports

I saw those. On the BBC front page too now.

Part of the on-going campaign to taint the reputation club with a steady drip, drip of allegations and 'stories' in the same way City's issue regarding the problem with the Anti-doping agency last season was highlighted but those involving other clubs were not. I believe Bournemouth had similar issues. The headline makes it appear that there are drug related issues when in fact it was a matter of player whereabouts and changes to training schedules/days off but the link is made, the mud is slung and the erosion of the image taken a stage further.

The BBC have tagged on Manchester City, we were investigated regarding a youth and were punished, but also City are awaiting a decision from the appeal by a South American Club, in which Fifa, initially ruled was in order.

I do not think we are currently under any investigation and the BBC are naughty in tagging us.

If this is the case the club should surely consider a complaint - this is naughty in the extreme and simply isn’t acceptable.

I read the BBC report earlier and thought then that they have tagged old news about us on to the new Chelsea story.

Typical of the world in this Post-Truth era. The facts are irrelevant. More mud is slung, an assertion made, a ‘link’ created in the minds of many whose impression of Manchester City is sullied just that little bit further adding to the confirmation bias.

You can just hear the comments in th pub -

“See? I told you so! More proof City and their ‘dirty oil money’ are fixing the market”
