Brace yourself lads and lasses, you're not going to believe who scored a goal last night

Did he mean it?

In other Ex-Blues news, congrats to Garth Barry on equalling the Premier League appearance record last weekend.

Navas, almost a good a goal as that he scored against Spuds a few seasons ago.

personally I would not have sold Barry, but that is water under the dridge and I wish him well when he breaks that record.

That was a good strike. Wish he could have clocked a few more like that in his City career - the one against Spurs was a peach.

Ex Blue Adebayor on that goal.

"Afterwards, I got told the English FA wanted to give me a nice fine, but even if I would have had to pay €2m, considering what I went through, I would have still done it," said Adebayor.
"I wasn’t going to stand there, listening to five thousand people insult my family when they had nothing to do with it.
"During that moment, I felt like I weighed 20 kilos when I felt like I weighed 2000 kilos before the game.
"When I start to run, Wright-Phillips tries to catch me. He’s small, so a shoulder barge sends him flying.
"Then there was Barry, very slow: a quick juke move and he’s left behind.
"Around the centre circle was Kolo Touré, and he quickly realised it was better to just let me do my thing.
"When I slide on my knees, arms wide in front of the fans, I felt untouchable.
"People were throwing everything: phone, bottles of water. I never flinched. Everything flew past me. Pew, pew, like in the movies!
"It was like having a sensation of being in prison for so many years and suddenly being told: ‘Brother, take the door and leave. Now, you are free’.
"That’s what I felt, a deliverance."

A deliverance? Well he certainly made them Gooners squeal like pigs.

Whilst I'm on the subject of Ex Blues, here's a nice interview with Robinho reminiscing about his time at City.

I couldn't get the Navas video to run for some reason

Adebayor - the behaviour of the Arsenal fans was a disgrace and yet I don't recall them being sanctioned for their actions. Some of them were virtually foaming at the mouth and throwing seats

Robinho - a great talent, shame it didn't work out for him. Favourite goal is the chip against Arsenal. Loved it. Couple of unselfish passes to set him up from a young Daniel Sturridge.......would he do the same these days? Another lovely couple of assists from Stephen Ireland whose career stagnated not much later showing just how ephemeral a life at the top of the game can be.

Thanks for sharing these

I remember clearly the chant about his family. Horrible it was.
