A couple of things caught my eye in the last few days with regards our young lads that are out on loan.

First up, Pablo Maffeo received a lot of praise in the Spanish meedja for the man marking job he did on one Lionel Messi last weekend, it wasn't enough to stop Barca besting Girona 3-0 but by all accounts he kept the shackles firmly on the world's best player.

He then declined Messi's offer to swap shirts as he had promised a friend of his that he would get Ter Stegen's shirt at the end of the game.

Vamos Maffeo!

Closer to home another City starlet is helping his adopted club break records as Angus Gunn has kept five clean sheets on the bounce, the first time Norwich have managed this feat in their history.

I've just noticed I messed up the thread title, can that be edited? @Tudor, Skoorb, Buzz, anyone?

He is widely reported as having done a decent job marking Messi for Girona. One wonders whether in light of Mendy’s extended absence he cannot be recalled. It’s a long way until January

Gunn has always had that ability shame that he probably will be sold, I cannot see him wanting to play a part on the Bertie when he good enough to start in most teams.

A buy back clause possibly.
