Exactly CT, a pure accident and not the fault of Sergio, but this arsewipe of a taxi driver should have his licence ripped up.

Simon Stone of the BBC tweeted this:

Told tests on Aguero show damage not as bad as feared. Now looking at 2 to 4 week absence. Could even be back for @ManCity v Stoke on 14 Oct

Elbows Shawcross will be thrilled to bits.

The relentless efforts from the hacks to try and drive a wedge between the player and his coach were unsurprising but nonetheless disappointing. Unable to find cause to judge Agüero from going somewhere on his day off, they sought to see if Pep would criticise his player for doing so or question the wisdom of Sergio’s choices. Desperate last season to question whether both Agüero and Jesus couldn’t be accommodated in the same team they were once again trying to find a chink through which they could drive their agenda to discuss a ‘rift’ between Guardiola and Agüero

Pep’s response to their questioning was nothing short of masterful IMO. He has learnt well how to deal with them and their incessant search for division between the coach and his striker

From the look of the video posted on the OS his return consisted of some very light jogging - Sergio makes an appearance at around the 6 min mark - and, unsurprisingly, he looks to be moving quite gingerly.

Great to see that he is back and moving about so soon after the collision but I am not expecting him back in competitive action too soon & certainly not this weekend.

Good to see Delph involved in this session also

Wouldn't be surprised to see him on the bench against Stoke and then hopefully starting against Napoli Skoorb.

The fracture itself is probably healed, the pain can be managed by good drugs which top sportsmen have in abundance

I sincerely hope he isn't anywhere near Stoke. Why take the risk?
Napoli, maybe, but with our squad we should not be thinking of bringing him back too soon.

According to them stats Stoke should be more worried about us given that we have collected twice as many bookings as them this season - 14 vs 7

On the one hand given that we want to actively win the ball back you might expect some more bookings but not twice as many as our next opponents

I don't give the proverbial flying f*** what the stats say. Stoke have been kicking s*** out of us since time immemorial. My point stands, don't risk Kun against them.

I am all with you there - jogging about is all well and good but the rough and tumble of a competitive PL game? I don't thinks so.

I doubt he'll be involved - I think the club were eager to show that he is well on the road to recovery but I cannot se them risking him. Cotton Wool is required. Or bubble wrap.

Stoke have turned a bit of a corner since MH10 took over, still a tough side but then it's up to us to dish it out and not go moaning to the ref.

But I agree, why risk him, light jogging with a match only a matter of days away doesn't bode well. Even if GJ33 was also crocked we could still play a false 9 or, whisper it quietly, promote someone from the yoof team...

Ok, that last thing isn't going to happen but if it ever does then you read about it here first.

Shouldn’t be rushed back anyway surely.
Give him the time and treatment and keep him away from Stoke.

News of Sergio's rib injury will have had centre backs throughout the league readying their elbows to deliver a sharp jab into his midriff at the first corner or set piece......
