Scotland had a chance to win it Ozi, he will have nightmares about the miss forever.

Scotland failed not just because of this one game, yes they are out on GD, but they were a poor squad with a so,so manager.

I agree JK but then again just who would you get to manage a poor team?
Most of the players play for the lesser teams and none play for teams with any class.
Methinks England is on its way to the same ends unless someone can come up with a solution.
The national manager does not have the day to day involvement that he would get with a club, so the job is not that attractive to the top practitioners, hence England have Southgate who for me is very ordinary.

Argentina have qualified with a Messi hattrick to beat Ecuador. Otters played the full ninety.
Brasil knocked out Chile and Jesus scored two of their three goals.

Well that's good to know that he was deemed fit enough to feature but at the same time when the game was won at 3-0 & Belgium had already qualified one wonders why Martinez didn't opt to replace Hazard with other midfielders such as Dendoncker or Orgi for the final part of the game i.e. players not recovering from injury.

Anyhow, good to know KDB was able to make the game and will therefore be fit for the visit of Stoke at the weekend

Bernie played the full ninety for Portugal v Switzerland and they are through (2:0).
I think that's it - finito - for our boys.

Dear me. Utter stupidity. The coaches need to have a strong word.

Can't find anything but just under a year ago he was sent off for 'instigating a melee' against Newcastles' Under 18's - and he is Swiss according to the club website so maybe it is a case of wrong country at the wrong time.

Seems the lad is quite a lively presence in an 18 yard box.

I hate International breaks in general, but these past 2 weeks I've REALLY needed my footie.
