Looking forward to the restart against Stroke and Sparkless. For all the moaning and groaning everyone has about England's squad, just be thankful you aren't the US. :003:
Disappointed that you guys didn't make it :093:

I'm not, time to blow the whole thing up and start from scratch.

Pep on Aguero & Kompany:-

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is in contention to play against Stoke City on Saturday.

The Argentine was involved in a road traffic accident before the international break and suffered a broken rib.

But he returned to full training on Thursday and although he isn’t 100 per cent fit, Pep Guardiola says he could be involved against Mark Hughes’ side.

“He did his first training session after what happened,” Guardiola said. “He did it quite well. Hopefully, as soon as possible he will be back

“Maybe [he is in contention to play against Stoke]. Today, in the last training session, we are going to see. He is not 100% but he recovered quite well.

“We will see. We are happy he is back in training.”

Meanwhile, Guardiola admitted Vincent Kompany still isn’t fit enough to make his return to the side.

The City captain suffered a calf injury playing for Belgium at the end of August and hasn’t played since City’s 2-1 win at Bournemouth.

His condition is improving but Guardiola says the game with Stoke has come to soon for him to be involved.

“He is much, much better but still injured,” Guardiola said.

“Hopefully, it is the last part. It depends on him when he will come back. He will notify us.”

Doesn't sound like he is 100% fit - this isn't the CL final, it's a tricky away game in the Potteries, no need to rush him back. If we can't win this without him then it is a sorry state of affairs indeed.

A 4-0 hammering should keep us at the top of the pile.

In other news If you want a measure of just how much the media want to stick it to Guardiola just look at the back pages today. Unable to criticise his team after the demolition of Chelsea they have gone back two weeks to drag out his comment about Harry Kane and in putting it to Pochettino during his press conference they generated the ‘controversy’ they wanted. Choosing to ignore his linguistic challenges they have decided to treat it as a massive sleight on Saint ‘Arry the ‘Saviour of English’ Football and his media darling team, Spurs and paint Guradiola as a mean, nasty man.

This was history. It was reported at the time and yet they chose to dig it back out and drop it into Pochettino’s press conference as I am pretty sure he didn’t raise it independently.

He tries to put the record straight here...

This is the sort of garbage that seriously pi**es me off with the media. Desperate to generate headlines they effectively create a ‘spat’ by parachuting two week old, previously reported, comments into a press conference and off we go.

They have had two whole weeks to ask Guradiola to clarify what was said, what he meant, but no they sit on it to maximise their headlines just so they have something else to write about other than the Dippers v Rags match.

Indeed.

Will Maureen Park the Bus?

That game seriously needs the dippers to score first and early on

I think Herrera has been selected to man mark Coutinho as he did Hazard last season.

Of course we are! Make that a 6-0 battering then.
