What a day, we thrash stoke and the rags and bindippers cancel each other out, happy days.

A mate of mine said keep an eye out for one Paul Ince who has declared City would struggle to earn the point at Candlefield that the rags did today. He's probably right the bitter git.

He probably is right but I'd rather go down fighting than take the coward's way out that Mourinho does.

Sorry I'm late to this forum today, but I've just been taking it all in on other social media platforms.
I haven't looked at any of our other threads (MDT), but today was just MAGNIFICENT, especially the first 45. I think it's the finest I've ever seen, and I do go back a bit

It was a pleasure, and I get to see it all again in another 15 minutes. When it got to three, I said to Mike, who provided the opportunity, it was nailed on for Sky's game of the day - I'm afraid the marking for today's comp might be a little late!

I am with you Colin, at one point they were just playing with them, even when they scored their second, we just upped a gear and some really good goals to relish.

The goals for Stoke were through complacency and over confidence.

We are only 8 games in, too early to call yet by far, If we can keep this sort of football going that would be awesome, City are such a pleasure to watch.

Bit concerned about Kyle Walker after what looks like a twisted ankle suffered in the late challenge by Diouf.

Hope he’s fit for Tuesday - we need our strongest available XI against a good Napoli team who secured their 8th consecutive league victory last evening beating Roma 0-1

It looked dodgy for a while and he tried to run it off, and looked OK, but it might be sore this morning. Slight doubt for Tuesday, but I am sure we will cope if he misses out.

Napoli will be a different kettle of fish this week.

It is so good that our strikers pick the player in the better position to score, unlike last year when it was suggested that if Sergio is out then we will struggle, this season everyone is getting in on the act.

Kevin De Bruyne - wow, he puts it there and how do you defend it.

Just catching up with the full replay and have loved so far these moments....

About 8 nimutes in Otamendi heads the ball back to Ederson, it’s a bit short so he has to slide out to collect it but having done so and before he stops moving he throws the ball out to the feet of Kyle Walker getting City moving immediately. #teamplayer

Kyle Walker’s composure when setting up Jesus for the first goal. He ran from the edge of his own 18 yard box when we regained possession but still had the presence of mind to look up when receiving KDB’s pass.....and to pause briefly before crossing the ball into the six yard box for Jesus to get in front of his marker. #quality

Between the kick off and the ball hitting the backof the net....

16 passes between City players and every player touches the ball except Gabriel Jesus

Gabby must have been gutted he didn't get as touch

This was a classic goal that wont be appreciated , because all the highlights will show is the final ball, but as you point out everyone apart from Gabby had a hand in it, a fabulous team goal.

Gabby was one step away from finishing Sané‘s pass across the six yard box. It was something to behold and you could tell just how pleased Guardiola was with that goal - he loves a team goal.

Next brilliant moment - KDBks pass to Jesus not long before the 3rd goal. A lovely chipped return ball into the box which Gabby controlled without breking stride. KDB is a sublime footballer

MCFC 7-2 Stoke City: Highlights, Images & Post Match Reaction

Manchester City tore Stoke City a new arse hole on Saturday following the Blues emphatic 7-2 Premier League win.

As someone who has followed City since the 1970’s then I have to say I have never seen this sort of scintillating form, week in week out, EVER. It really is simply is a joy to watch.

What I see now is magnificent.

Guardiola is imprinting his footballing beliefs in this group of players and their performances are starting to show that they are GETTING it. Play for each other, work for each other, use your brilliant individual skills in support of one another and you create an intoxicating atmosphere where everyone feels that they contribute to getting the ball in the net, everyone feels that a part of that goal was down to them.

This is what Guardiola brings with his coaching and it is getting tougher and tougher for the Naysayers to deny. Maureen will look like a bulldog chewing a wasp when he sees the back pages today. LOL

The 3rd goal - every City player bar Ederson and KDB touching the ball this time in the move leading to the net bulging again.

Wat this is telling me is that City is a team with so many moving parts thatit is functioning like an exquisitely manufactured Swiss Watch. A privilege to watch

What is noticeable, they still get a buzz from an assist as much as scoring, Sané and the others immediately acknowledged Kev after scoring.

I saw this when we won it in 68, we were a team then and We are now and i keep having to reign myself in and say it is only 8 games and you notice differences between last season and this, eg. when we bring someone off the bench this season it is a class player Bernardo was arguably Portugal's best player against the Swiss, but still finds himself on the bench, we are now going to score a bag full every game, but if we do continue in this eye pleasing style, we will win many fans, who will want to watch us play.

Sadly the cost of going to watch City play live is a costly exercise, but i think if they introduce controlled areas for standing, then they can reduce the entry fee and get more fans into the ground. There seems to be more call for free standing, as long as it is safe.
