'Pep Guardiola is making his critics look foolish at Manchester City'
http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11679/11134401/time-to-prais...

it may be one mans opinion, but It is a good read. Published after the Sunday Supplement indicated that it did not matter what City did, The rags would read about anything to do with Old Toilet.

That is a good find and it does hit many of the ‘sweet spots’ and crystallises many of the thoughts on why the critics and detractors have gone missing this season. They just can’t get their heads round what he is achieving and refuse to admit they might have gotten it wrong - all their arguments are built on sand and contradiction.

I also suspect they know that to come out and praise what he is doing wouldn’t get right up Maureen’s nose - that might be reason enough to do it for most of us but I suspect they fear having their access to all things rag being cut off. And as Martin Samuels pointed out yesterday on Sky’s Sunday Supplement that is where their bread is buttered.

"Fabian Delph's passable impersonation of David Alaba"

Love this line. I've just been perusing Whoscored and noted that Delph made 6 interceptions against Leicester, thy end next highest from either side was 2. He also made more successful tackles than any other player on the pitch.

Another thing that stood out for me in the article is the fact that we're yet to concede from a set-piece this season, that is remarkable. Dodgy defence? I don't think so, after the weekend's fixtures we now have the joint least conceded in the league.

I think they wanted Pep to fail and in his terms he did last season and I think the Premier for real was a shock, but he found the personnel, got rid of those that did not want to sign on and we have a team that p[lay beautiful football, that all the media wish it was Stretford doing it.
