Chance for Sakho, but he puts it wide. Mangala outmuscled.

Four minutes stoppages.

Gabriel Jesus booked at the end, presumably for delaying a free kick.

We made hard work of that. Sloppy and lethargic in the first half we finally upped the tempo and the pace of the passing after the break. Got lucky when Sakho missed a great chance after Mangala lost out to Arnautovic but the quality of De Bruyne and Silva sane us through. Shouts also for them difference that Jesus made and once again Otamendi for bein an unlikely scorer.

Just parked up at home. Agree with Blues in the stadium. We have enough experience now to know this is a marathon not a sprint and you can’t smash everyone in the Premier League. But without doubt what Pep has put together and moulded this far is undeniably phenomenal.

Off to do the stats!

It what Champions do and that is as creditable as overwhelming sides and smashing them off the park. The rags were always lauded for winning games late on, grinding out results when not playing well etc and so you would hope that the media would recognise that.

Pep made the change at halftime and it changed the game - Jesus provided the assist that got us back in the game.

Another good result, I will take 2-1 victories any day of the week. Bus parkers should not get any rewards.

Wet Spam must be so gutted that they didn't get anything out of it, but they are playing an exceptional team and you have to defend for 97 mins, which must be harder than people think and easier for Us as we pass the ball around waiting for that chance or two - 'Never Surrender Never Give In'

West Ham showed spirit and endeavour which will encourage their fans and it will have been disheartening to concede so late in the game but we are building a reputation now as a side that does not settle for a point.

Managers and coaches are watching City’s performances; matches at different times of the season are not the same as the pressures vary - teams have new managers, their league position is worse or under more threat - game dynamics will change over the season. The trick is to be able to adapt to the different circumstances each week or every few days as is the case over the next month.

Pepe negotiated this game with the three players at risk of suspension now available for a key fixture against league challengers. I would say he has had a good day at the office.
