There are and you are right - it may be 'banter' but he needs to remain impartial and not pander to the rag fan base

I think that instruction may come from his bosses, they do not want to antagonist their biggest audience, which sadly right now is rag supporters and we may have to wait a few years to get parity, but we do need to win titles year in year out.

I am so nervous and it's only Friday, I may not be able to watch, I shall record it and only watch it if we win.

I'm so glad someone else is feeling like this. Me too. Can't watch it live. I too will record and only watch if we win.

I just can't stand the gloating if we lose, but I am expecting to win.

Nerves not kicking in for me yet........expect that they will reach a peak on the day.

The gloating would be unbearable - they would just descend into Uber-smug mode but I am hopeful that we will not have to endure that. Pep knows his game & will have a plan.

I am expecting a significant deployment of the dark arts from Maureen especially the game stopping 'trivial' foul high up the pitch often in our half - enough to stop the play, disrupt our flow and allow them to get back into shape but also far enough away from the rag goalmouth to avoid a yellow card. Maureen's first aim will be not to lose.....he will want hs side to nick something on a break or from a set piece but it remains to be seen if the crowd will let them play a 'containing' game.

Could be a cracker & I will be watching (but probably not enjoying)

My fear is Herrera, he will permanently injure a player one day and the ref has to stamp on him before he can do some real harm.

If Matic is injured and plays then more fool the manager

Noel Gallagher sums up exactly how I feel

" I don’t like derby day, I’ve never enjoyed it. It’s too stressful. Genuine football fans will want to get the derby out of the way. Wake up, call it a draw and move on."

I'm doing the santa run on Sunday. Media blackout.

He does have a way of hitting the nail on the head.

Maybe we could all petition for both games to be declared draws, share out a point each and avoid a whole lot of stress?

Always apprehensive when it comes to derby games.

Like others I'm expecting a bruising game. If we do get the kicking and the diving let's hope the Ref. and his officials deal with it.

Avoid red cards please.

It's not normally the playing surface that is the issue it's the safety of the fans (outside the stadium especially). Hopefully it will be fine.

Looks like the trip to the Ukraine might have helped get our guys used to the conditions ;-) Forecast is for temps around 1C.

Depends on how the roads are, Toilet is not easy to get to by road, but there are plenty of trams, The rags will be urging this one to be called off, which would actually suit us better.
