I have been concerned ever since some pundit said several weeks ago “the only way this City team could be stopped is if there are serious injuries to De Bruyne or Silva. Obviously I’m not saying that someone should do that.....”

Look at the penalty again.

Puncheon is not even looking at the penalty being taken. He has his back to the goal and is looking straight at De Bruyne who is 5 yards away - Palace goalside. When the ball breaks Puncheon hunts him down and takes him out. Targeted if you ask me

Palace has us rattled and the Ref is not helping our players who have been hurt by some serious tackling

Buzz called it well into the first half

Jon Moss was poor

Poor is too kind, Skoorb. He was a burning shitball.

True. I could not believe it when he initially refused Jesus treatment on the pitch after Townsend had fouled him and caused the slip

Sadly as you pointed out Skoorb by naming players from other games who have gone in hard and got away without being sent off, Pep says we have been lucky in previous games that no serious injuries have been attached to those tackles, well now they have and i assume that will be the norm from now until the end of the season with no protection and a freebie for any opposition player.

Danny Murphy is the pundit you refer to Skoorb. Ever since he said it on match of the day we've been on the end of some pretty nasty stuff.

Townsend on Jesus wasn't the worst but it was a foul at the very least, Moss is not fit to ref.

Even Michael Owen called the tackle on Red Kev horrific. I think Pep is right calling for protection for our players, but I think it will fall on deaf ears. Hope Jesus has a medial strain, otherwise his World Cup is cooked.

Plenty of calls for Zaha to get taken to task by the Diving Panel but I agree with the article - I don’t think the conniving cheat will get any punishment whatsoever

Watched the footage again this morning. The smile on his face after the penalty award speaks volumes - all the theatrical throwing himself to the floor every time he was bested by Walker had gotten him nothing but his pleasure at conning the officials was plain to see. Conniving cnut.

An even 'better' view - Puncheon is in full flight - not in contact with the ground, the definition of 'Out of Control'

He takes Kevin at knee height - I think their knees clash which is where Kev gets the red mark seen as he is helped down the touchline after the game.

But I think that it is Puncheon's follow through with his left leg which causes Kev the real pain - Kev went down clutching his right ankle which was planted at the moment of impact and which took the full force of Puncheon's assault

The more I see it, the worse it gets compounded by the fact that NOTHING else will be done to sanction that piece of ****

It's been reported that Puncheon and Dann will miss the rest of the season with injuries sustained in the game.
Like Mendy in the first game this season, they've fouled an opponent and come off worse.

There's also a piece in the Mail tomorrow by the Palace chairman defending Zaha.

I think the comments sum up what most people think of Zaha.
