Sean Dyche sets his stall out.

“Does it matter how you win a football match? Not in my opinion,”

https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/913880/Burnley-news-Sean-Dy...

I think we know what that means. Expect some "robust" challenges from his team this afternoon. He has seen the template that assorted officials have allowed including most recently Mason and Madley.

Doubtless he will send his players out to "get amongst them" and "let them know they are in a game".

Knee high? No contact with the ball? Not a problem.

From behind, studs into the calf, nowhere near the ball? Nothing wrong with that. Carry on.

I hope that Atkinson does his job correctly.

Happy lunch time!

Defensive rotation ahoy!

One more booking and Vinny gets suspended so keep up today skipper.

Let's try to get this done swiftly today and get those 18 points headlines rolling. We need to keep our feet firmly on Stretford throats until they start taking the field in the league with less and less edge.

Raz Sterling. Believe.

MOTD COMMENTATOR'S NOTES

Steve Wilson: "Including their FA Cup defeat at Manchester City, Burnley have now gone nine games without a win - but they are still well on course for their highest league finish since coming sixth in 1974. Quite a feat.

"Manchester City might blow apart the Premier League record book. It's far from ridiculous to suggest that they could tie up the Premier League title when they play Manchester United at the Etihad in early April - how they would love that!

"They could - indeed should - also break the record for the biggest margin of victory in a Premier League campaign (18 points). How about setting new landmarks for the most points (95) and the most goals (103) too?

"For City, it feels as though anything is possible."

We are not saying it is not a physical game, we know it is, but when the fouls occur, the punishment does not fit the crime.(G&S Mikado)
