City V Stoke- After The Lord Mayor`s Show?

Let us hope not! This season just gets better and better, we have 2 games to play and can now get 3rd place in the league, now I know all the press are saying "3rd place is the minimum those players should get with the amount they cost" but West Ham have just been relegated with a match to spare, their wage bill is the 8th Highest in the division- so does that mean they were expected to finish eighth? I think not.
Anyway, all the weight is off ours (the fans, the team, the club) with Saturday`s win (in case anyone missed it, we won the Cup 1-0!!)
So back to reality, Stoke will be revved a plenty for this one, as will their fans.

Vital Quotes:

have to say I would be surprised if Pennant played again

Good luck tonight fellas... If you guys can finish in 3rd place, above Arseanal, NOTHING would make us Spurs supporters happier :-)... All the best, and congrats for a successful season. COYS

Have the lads got the gas left in the tank to finish 3rd? We are well into Brucie Bonus time already.

Silva is a big doubt with his knee and Ladyman thinks we may rest Yaya. We could struggle to create and score if somehow we're without Tevez, Balotelli, Silva, AND Yaya. Hopefully Silva can make the cut.

Surely we'll go for it tonight. Last game at home and the faithful on a high. Direct qualification to the CL would ease potential fixture congestion in August and deliver a devastating blow to Arsenal and the rest of the top table sides. What an achievement that would be. - Sunday could then be memorable with Wanderers giving us so many extra tickets.

I'm more surprised that Huth is in line to start tonight after his rather snide elbow on Balotelli - do the FA not retrospectively ban players for incidents the ref has missed any more?

fifthcolumnblue - Not if your clubs name doesn't end with the word "United", or "nal" or "sea" or "pool"!!.. Not that I'm suggesting that 'the powers that be' favour certain clubs!! ;-)
