City Stunned At Stoke!

Stoke City
2 - 0
Man City

Britannia Stadium

Attendance: 27,264

Man City's Premier League season continued with a defeat against Stoke at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday as a season where no one, it seems, wants to win the title goes on!

Well, I say no one wants to win it but Leicester, as they do continue to impress, are now top and seem happy enough to do so....

Stunned by an early Marko Arnautovic goal when he finished off a Xherdan Shaqiri cross inside the opening 10-minutes with the pair combining again with just quarter of an hour played and there was no way back!

He would have had a hat-trick but for an effort clipping a post.

Chances City did have were repelled by Stoke 'keeper Jack Butland who saved to deny Kevin de Bruyne and Aleksandar Kolarov with the injury problems getting worse with Fernandinho limping off with 15-minutes to play when he was forced off by a hamstring injury meaning the final minutes were played with only 10-men as Manuel Pellegrini had made all his changes.

The other results this weekend were as follows:-

Saturday 5th December
Stoke 2-0 Man City
Arsenal 3-1 Sunderland
Man Utd 0-0 West Ham
Southampton 1-1 Aston Villa
Swansea 0-3 Leicester
Watford 2-0 Norwich
West Brom 1-1 Tottenham
Chelsea 0-1 Bournemouth

Before this round of games are over we've got games to play on Sunday and Monday:-

Sunday 6th December 2015
Newcastle v Liverpool 16:00

Monday 7th December 2015
Everton v Crystal Palace 20:00

Looking at these results (so far) the stand out ones have to be the wins for (in all honesty) Stoke and without a doubt Bournemouth.

The City defeat was topped, even though they've been 'struggling' this season as it is, by Bournemouth becoming the latest side to win at Stamford Bridge, most team seem to this season mind, when the Cherries scored late on to beat Chelsea one-nil!

As a result of this defeat City drop from top to 3rd.
