Spanish winger Jesus Navas completed his move to City from Sevilla in June 2013 after ten years at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
After joining Sevilla's youth system at the age of 15, he was handed his senior debut just two years later in November 2003. A sprinkling of first team appearances followed that season, alongside a regular place for Sevilla B in Spain's third tier. This was enough to earn him a promotion to the first team the following season, and he has since chalked up 393 appearances for his home town club and grabbed 34 goals.

His tally of creating 76 chances for his teammates in the 2012-13 league campaign (the fifth highest total in La Liga) will have City fans (& hopefully the club's strikers) salivating at the prospect of seeing him displaying his pace on the wing in the coming season. He boasts an extensive medal collection, winning two UEFA Cups, a UEFA Super Cup, two Copa del Rey titles and the Spanish Super Cup during his time at Sevilla as well as World Cup and European Championship medals with Spain.

Navas will also bring his Champions League experience to the Etihad Stadium, enjoying a season in the competition in 2009, when he scored twice and recorded three assists in just eight appearances. Again statistics that bode well for City after last year's disappointment in the competition last season.

Navas is part of a Spanish national team which has won plaudits throughout football. He has played 28 times for his country including an appearance from the bench in the 2010 World Cup final.
He is set to provide an exciting attacking option and City fans will hope that he can offer the sort of accurate delivery to the strikers that will help bolster the team's goal tally. A mouth watering prospect!
