A Word from Aaron

Crofty Looking to Liverpool

Once supporting city’s rivals, Lee Croft admits he can’t wait for a chance to play against the European champions. Since the new season has started Croft has been shining in plenty of appearances for city, scoring his first goal against Fulham a couple of weeks ago. He has faced the massed ranks of the press for the first time this week but nothing has got in his way to look forward to the Liverpool game and he hopes to score over his massive ‘rivals’. Liverpool have had a poor start to the season but Rafa Benitez hopes he can get a win for a four game winning streak. As well as Croft a few of the other youngsters will hope to start against the European champions such as Stephen Ireland and Nedum Onouha, who has lost his place due to a spectacular goal by Danny Mills against Everton. After assisting with the winning goal in the last meeting between the two teams, Crofty will hope to be on the scoring end of it this time.
