This was never going to be easy against an entertaining Omonia side bouyed by tremendous home support. City will be flying back to Ringway tonight knowing that for all their risk riding, lack of ruthlessness and lack of luck up front, they have done a job and set up what we hope will be a spectacular at Eastlands in a fortnight's time. We seem to be showing a lack of ability to get a hold of and boss midfield right now and the left back position still looks our weakest link as Garrido proved. Still, as the team continues to gel and our seemingly endless supply of quicksilver forwards get to know each other, City will terrify defences this season. Big plus tonight was Zabaleta who looked to have got over his shellshock against Chelsea and of course Jo whose second goal showed the kind of first touch and control that make him a prize asset. Next up, bring on Pompey at Eastlands who saw off Guimaraes 2-0 tonight. Another MiddleEastlands cracker is on the cards!!

JB I think Charlie might be faster than Zabaleta, didn't think I would say that about Charlie. Created loads of Chances, SWP we sell him for £21m buy him back for £9m and he is a far better player now than when he left, so Chelsea have given us £12m and a better player back. Thanks Chelsea.

Whole-heartedly agree with you about SWP Buzz, but I'm faster than Corluka!! Zabaleta showed glimpses last night and will take time to adapt to the English pace. How did we not score double figures???
