Comments...
City go fourth in the Premier League but fail to multiply points again with a fourth draw in as many games. There is profound disappointment knocking about Planet Blue's message boards tonight as City put in a lacklustre, disjointed performance yet based on the stats, a neutral wouldn't think it. McLeish has put together a battling composite of journeymen and yet again it's a game City would have lost last season. Shay Given yet again proved himself the bargain buy of 2009. So City fans find ourselves in a bizarre position tonight. We want more from our side such is the level of our expectation but we are into November unbeaten save for the rag scandal, in the Champions League positions and in the Quarter Finals of the League Cup. Some say the side of a successful side is grinding out points when playing below par. Liverpool away after a must win Burnley home fixture remains the potentially pivotal game of the first half of our season.

If Shay Given doesn't win man of the match with 100% then people are either having a laugh or were watching a different match. We were truly awful for the 3rd Sunday running today.

I agree about SG Kev - looking at the stats we should have walked this game but in truth we were very lucky.
Thaibluefan
I definitely agree with that analysis Thai, those stats make us look dominant but they really didn't reflect the match at all.
